Did you know that Dr. Jart + was the dermatologist who introduced BB creams to the US market?! I do remember seeing the letters years ago, wondering what the buzz was all about.

Clinique’s New Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + Plus improves skin barrier strength as well! Read all about it —> HERE!

Now, Dr. Jart + presents a two-step system intended to restore and enhance your skin’s natural barrier functions with the launch of the Ceramidin Cream ($48.00) and Ceramidin Liquid ($39.00).

One is a moisturizing lotion formulated to provide long-lasting, 26-hour moisture protection, while the other is a potent serum-based formula meant to be used as the first step in your daily skincare regimen.

Working together, they act to maintain the integrity of the skin by repairing damage, soothing irritation and also helping to alleviate acne (which I have just started getting in my 40’s).

Both products contain key ingredients such as:

Ceramide – Essential lipids found in the surface layer of the skin that help maintain the integrity of the skin

Panthenol – Moisturizers that repair skin damage

Licorice Extract – Provides skin nourishment; whitening, soothing and anti-inflammatory benefits

Portulaca Oleracea L Extract – Soothes irritated skin; alleviates acne

Aloe Vera Leaves – Moisturizing and soothing, which contains healing properties

There is also beta vulgaris root (moisturizes), cornstarch (increases skin moisture) and folic acid (prevents DNA mutation: promotes cellular regeneration) in the Ceramidin Cream.

To use, first apply a dime-sized amount of the Liquid on a cotton pad and apply evenly onto the face. Then, dispense a nickel-sized amount of the Ceramidin Cream onto fingertips and apply evenly onto the face in a circular motion.

Kiehl’s Skin Rescuer Stress-Minimizing Daily Hydrator reduces signs of inflammation, redness & dryness. Read the review & learn more —> HERE!

Being that such small amounts are being used daily, I am hopeful that this regimen will last quite a while. Upon absorption, both the Liquid and Cream left no oily residue or film on my skin. My skin felt very supple and appeared radiant. This is a two-step system one can easily do on a daily basis!

For fall, I am switching to a slightly heavier moisturizer to really sink into my skin and work from within to make sure that my skin is not dehydrated or flaky.

For the colder weather I’m using beauty oils like avocado oil, sweet almond oil, rosehip seed oil, jojoba oil, etc I find that they keep my skin more moisturized than a normal face cream but these products from Dr. Jart might be an exemption for my skin. I definitely would love to give these a try! Thanks
