(Review) Surface Smooth & Healthy Hair Salon Treatment -Formaldehyde Free

Smooth, straight, frizz-free hair seems like the holy grail for most of us ladies. With such hair innovations like the Brazilian Blowout and other keratin treatments, it seemed like our dream was finally coming true. And then suddenly, there was a huge controversy over the safety of these hair smoothing salon treatments.

Many of our members asked us to investigate safe alternatives. So we researched one such salon treatment. We reviewed Surface Smooth And Healthy Hair Treatment. We found that treatment contains plenty of natural ingredients including oils, proteins and sugars all derived from plants.

But does it contain any harmful ingredients? Well, we put a call into the Raphael Yusupov, the owner of the trendy De Ja Vous Salon in mid-town Manhattan that performs this process regularly. He said “this treatment contains no Formaldehyde, just natural ingredients”. He then went on to tell us that the process and results are similar to other keratin treatments but without any of the negatives.

Is it safe to use on color processed hair? I did a Keratin straightener on my medium-fine, slightly curly hair. It didn’t stay but made blowing drying MUCH easier!

This product is an expensive chemical process. They said that this treatment was supposed to last 6 months and then the curls were supposed to come back. They never came back, so now I’m left with two different hair textures as new growth comes in. I could have saved myselve $200 bucks and get a chemical relaxer instead. At least with Brazillian Keratin Treatments, your hair does come back. This? Its just an overpriced chemical relaxer.
