I usually write about hair products, so it was definitely a nice change when I was sent Marula The Leakey Collection Pure Marula Oil ($78.00).
Katy & Phillip Leakey founded the Leakey Collection in 2002, hence the name. It’s a fair trade company built upon the principles of providing Kenyans with entrepreneurial opportunities without disturbing their environment or culture.
The Leakeys have dedicated their lives to bringing superior products to the West, so people around the world can connect to communities in East Africa. They founded T.R.A.D.E., which gives funding to schools, health initiatives and work opportunities for women in East Africa.
Marula Oil is endorsed by Dr. Ashton Kaidi, a board certified plastic surgeon. He tested the healing benefits personally on breast cancer patients who underwent radiation treatment, and was shocked by the improved healing and overall results. If the directions allowed it, I probably would have bathed in it. This is one of the best face and neck products I have tried in ages. The product worked as it claimed and the company was built on one commendable cause — two great reasons to try this product!
