This spring is all about color! But some of the new palettes boast these outrageously bright blues and purples! They’re beautiful, but can be a little intimidating to some.

So, if you want to add a little color to your everyday eye look without looking like one of the band members from Jem And the Holograms (‘80s rock and roll makeup at its best), then give one of Stila’s Smudge Stick Waterproof Eyeliners a try.

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner, Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner – New Turquoise, Periwinkle Shades

These best-selling Smudge Sticks are now available in 22 NEW shades for spring! Their ultra-smooth, vitamin E-infused formula glides on eyelids without tugging or drying. The water-proof formula also won’t budge for hours, so you’ll be able to enjoy your bright eyes until you decide to wipe the color off.

(Left to Right): There’s Ultramarine (a bright royal blue), Violet (a matte medium purple), Canary (a matte yellow), Mint Julep (a matte, pale pastel green), Cobalt (deep teal blue), Deep Fuchsia (a matte cranberry), Jade (an emerald green shimmer) and Turquoise (a light turquoise) — just to name a few.

The best way to add color without looking flat is to apply the Smudge Sticks first, then define the eyes with black liner — whether you tight-line or add an elaborate cat-eye, either look will have your peepers popping!

I combined Turquoise and Mint Julep with black eyeliner for a Cleopatra-meets-Go-Go-Dancer feel, and Violet and Deep Fuchsia for a whimsical Color of the Year look. My personal favorite has to be Canary, which is the most beautiful Tweety Bird-yellow you’ll ever see on your eyes! Pick one, pick all — you’ll never get tired using these Smudge Sticks this spring and summer.

I’d actually give these to my daughter and I’m sure she’d come up with some very creative and cool ways to mix and match them. 🙂

I just wanted to thank you for your tips, I have brown eyes and goggled what color eyeliner looks best with brown eyes and your photo wearing the eyeliner in Violet and in Deep Fuchsia popped up, so I read your blog!! I love the color combo so much, I just ordered both colors to be overnight’ed for a special occasion (date) 😉 I have tomorrow evening! Thank you for your blog and awesome suggestions, I would have never thought to do both colors!!! Be well, Diana
