SAG Awards 2009 Red Carpet Arrivals and Beauty

A range of stunners arrived on the red carpet at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, January 25th.  Topping the list is consistent Kate Winslet in an indigo figure hugger by Narciso Rodriguez. She won the SAG for Best Supporting Actress for The Reader.

Kate Winslet’s glamorous low bun and side swept bang was created exclusively by Frederic Fekkai stylist Renato Campora using Fekkai products.

To get the look, use FEKKAI MORE ALL DAY DENSITY MOUSSE ($25) to wet hair for added volume. On the bottom portion only apply FEKKAI COIFF MAGNIFIQUE ($23) to ends for a smooth blowout and to protect hair from the heat of styling tools. Using the FEKKAI EXTRA LARGE ROUND BRUSH ($65) blow dry hair and part on the right side. Once completely dry, use a one-inch curling iron throughout hair to create tousled movement with dimension. Apply FEKKAI TECHNICIAN GLAZE ($20) to ends working it through with fingers for texture that is not too heavy. Tease the top of the head ever so slightly to create a touch of height. Next pull hair back into a low ponytail. Create a loose braid and twist it around to form a bun. Secure with pins. Making a braid helps to keep the bun from appearing too severe and gives it the soft modern touch.

Anne Hathaway was my number 2 choice in a figure-hugging white Azzaro column gown with jewelled neckline and waist:

Amy Adams looked like a garnet-sheathed goddess:

Christina Applegate wore a teal colored Emmanuel Ungaro gown that brought out the color of her eyes:

Emily Blunt is one of my “top 3” dressed women of the evening, with her stunning backless silver sequin Pamela Roland dress:

Eva Longoria can never do wrong with Robert Verdi as stylist. Here she floats in a Jenny Packham salmon-colored gown.

And the worst dressed of the evening was America Ferrara, who looked like a bag lady in this Vera Wang camel-colored dress. WHAT was she thinking?

And the “golden couple” didn’t look too shabby, but Angelina’s dress was too flowy and shapeless as a bedsheet:

Angelina seems to like this type of waistline in dresses… I mean no waistline – shapeless…
