Now let’s talk a little bit more about what each product is and show you some up close photos!
Styling hair to look perfectly lived-in but still smooth and silky is no easy feat. Fortunately, this spray helps create dimension while also adding a sheen to strands for naturally healthy-looking hair. After misting on dry locks, it instantly gives control and volume without negating texture so you can easily style over and over again.
I’ve never used a texture spray in my hair before (shocker, I know) so I was excited to test this one out. I find that this product gives your hair a nice bit of shine without being too shiny – so it’s not going to make your hair look greasy or dirty. It almost behaves a little bit as a hair spray too. It gives your hair a little bit of hold.
The first of its kind dry shampoo foam looks and feels more like a mousse but leaves perfectly tousled clean hair in its wake. As you work it through your strands like you do a regular shampoo, it instantly absorbs oil and dirt without leaving a white cast and adds a little oomph. So go ahead, apply it everywhere. The floral scent masks any odors and smells so lovely that people might just mistake it for your perfume.
I’ve used a lot of dry shampoo in the past but never one that was a foam so this product definitely caught my eye! I love the travel sized bottle too because it’s easy to throw in your bag and take it on the go. The scent is nice and the product works effectively.
Get your pout on point for lipstick application with the help of these cute lip masks that are soaked in ingredients like olive oil, honey, witch hazel, vitamin C, and green tea – just to name a few – to plump, hydrate, and smooth for an ultra kissable pucker. After just 20 minutes, peel off the hydrogel patch, add color, and bask in how good your favorite lip product looks on your new pucker!
These products are super cute! They’re also lots of fun to use. Sometimes you might need to readjust the mask but all in all, I find these do hydrate your lips really well. It’s definitely a nice treat for your lips, especially if you tend to have more dry lips like me.
Benefit Cosmetics GALifornia Sunny Golden Pink Blush
You’ll look like you’ve been California dreamin’ in the warm sunshine even if you don’t live near the West Coast with just a swipe of this golden pink blush. It serves up that laid-back perfection golden state gals naturally have by blending bright pink with shimmering gold for a sun-kissed hue that complements all skin tones. What’s more, it also features the faint scent of grapefruit and vanilla plus unique artistic packaging to add to the theme.
I’ve heard so many great things about this blush so I couldn’t wait to put it to use! This blush is nicely pigmented, applies great, and blends out like a dream. If you’ve never tried any of the Benefit Cosmetics box blushes, I think you’ll be really pleased with this product.
MAC Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Chili
This is the iconic MAC Cosmetics lipstick that started it all, and with its true matte texture and highly pigmented color, we can see why it’s achieved cult status. For the occasions when you want a vibrant lip that’s timeless and classy rather than flashy and in your face, it perfectly shades and defines your pout for hours, which means minimal touch-ups. Whether you decide to go bold or just add a pop of color, you’ll soon become addicted to the suede-like finish and extra-glam look.
MAC Cosmetics produces some of my favorite lipsticks! My collection is full of them. I hadn’t owned Chili yet but I was super excited to see it included in this box. The matte formula is great. It glides on with ease, isn’t drying, and really hangs around on your lips for a long while. Their mattes are some of my favorite out of any brand of lipstick.
Calling all glitter enthusiasts: This liquid shadow gives you the disco sparkle you desire without the need for a primer, glue, and glitter. The water-infused, smooth-as-butter formula swipes on easily and wears comfortably but still has the same intensity as loose glitter without the dreaded fallout. You can go extra vibrant or ultra subtle, applying more layers with the wand applicator or wearing over your favorite existing eyeshadows for bolder color. It’s also paraben, sulfate, and phthalate free.
I had heard a lot of great things in the beauty community about the Magnificent Metals Liquid Eyeshadows so I definitely wanted to put this one to the test. It is highly pigmented and highly glittery! I used it on my lids for a look and it definitely is gorgeous. There is no fallout, it’s easy to apply, and it doesn’t crease or wear off throughout the day. Definitely a five star product!
Don’t lose half your makeup to a brush or sponge – let this silicone applicator tap and blend your favorite primer, foundation, blush, highlighter, and concealer without wasting their precious formulas. The non-porous surface prevents absorption but also makes it easy to clean, so it never harbors bacteria. The tear drop shape lets you navigate smaller parts of your face (i.e. under eyes and around your nose) and with its translucent color, you can apply multiple shades and colors without disturbing the integrity of the hues. Just a little makeup goes a long way, saving you time and more of your products.
I used to only use makeup brushes to apply foundation and other cream products. I then tested out beauty sponges. This was the first silicone makeup applicator I have ever tried – though I had heard all about them online. There is definitely a learning curve with using this product, just as when you try out any other product. It doesn’t soak up any of your liquids like a brush or sponge would though!
Like a green juice for your skin, this detoxifying two-piece sheet mask is made of pure sea kelp leaves and contains fermented chlorella, soybeans, centella asiatica, licorice root, bamboo, plus other ingredients to purify your pores, hydrate for 72 hours, and add glow. The powerful formula also provides anti-aging benefits for your softest, healthiest complexion yet. It’s a serious skin savior when you haven’t been drinking enough water, binged on greasy food, or fell asleep with your makeup on too many nights in a row. After just 15 minutes, your complexion will be cleansed of all that and feel refreshed and renewed. Bonus: The included foaming face wash means you can start your masking session with a clean slate.
This mask is definitely different! The smell is very strong (like kelp). I had a little difficulty keeping it on my face, partly because it was so saturated and partly because it was a little too big for my face. However, I will say that it does provide great hydration to the skin as well as a little extra glow boost. I really enjoyed the included foaming face wash though. I would definitely love to purchase a full size of that.
Your skin has a thirst for hydration, but sometimes it gets a little too parched due to environmental factors and can’t retain water naturally. That’s where this luxuriously silky cream comes in. I don’t have normal to dry skin – rather I have extremely oily skin, but I found this moisturizer worked amazing. It definitely hydrates your skin and keeps it looking fresh and plump. I used this at night and really enjoyed using it.
