In case you missed it, the 2018 Golden Globes, held in Los Angeles, were Sunday night! This was the 75th Golden Globes Event so it was quite memorable. As always, BeautyStat is here to provide you with the hottest makeup and hair trends from the red carpet!
Get The Look:
- Prep the skin beginning with Kiehl’s Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate.
- Use Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado on the eyes to prep them for concealer.
- To combat unwanted shine and control oil on your t-zone, apply Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector.
- Use the Kiehl’s Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm on your lips for added moisture.
- Apply your favorite foundation and concealer.
- To define the cheeks, use the Avon True Color Transforming Contour Stick in Medium, followed by the Avon True Color Illuminating Stick and the Avon Powder Highlight for an extreme glow on the cheekbones.
- Line your eyes with the Avon True Color Glimmersticks Eyeliner in Blackest Black. Create a subtle flick by extending the line slightly upwards at the end.
- Finish the eyes with a couple of generous coats of Avon True Color Wide Awake Mascara.
- Add Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment to hydrate the lips and accentuate your natural beauty.
- After properly manicuring the nails, apply one coat of Infinite Shine Primer.
- Apply two thin coats of OPI’s Black Onyx Infinite Shine.
- Apply Infinite Shine ProStay Gloss generously.
- Sprinkle chunky glitter onto ring finger and gently press in for a raw finish.

Mandy Moore’s hair was nothing less than elegant. The look was created by Ashley Streicher. Her makeup was done by Matin Maulawizada.
Get The Look:
- To prep, apply Garnier Fructis Style Smooth Blow Dry Cream to damp hair. Blow hair out using a medium-sized boar bristle brush, giving slight volume.
- Once hair is dry, create a straight center part with a rat-tail comb. Spray the parting with Garnier Fructis Style Full Control Anti-Humidity Aerosol Hairspray. Make sure all fly aways are under control.
- Gather hair with a flat boar bristle brush, smoothing all rough areas.
- After ponytail is smooth, twist the hair into a bun around the elastic and secure with pins. Pull the hair out of the bun a bit for fullness and texture. Spray with Garnier Fructis Style Full Control Anti-Humidity Aerosol Hairspray.
- Finish the look with a touch of Garnier Fructis Style Pixie Play Crafting Cream to smooth any remaining fly aways. Spray Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Aerosol Hairspray onto a clean toothbrush and use to smooth the hair once more in any needed areas.
Get The Look:
- Prep the hair by spritzing Tresemme Repair & Protect 7 Pre-Styling Spray from roots to ends to protect hair from damage caused by hot tools and styling.
- Gently towel-dry hair, and then apply a dollop of the Tresemme TRES Two Extra Hold Mousse at roots to create voluminous foundation.
- Create a sleek, middle part and using a large ceramic brush, blow dry hair in sections to achieve a smooth, straight look.
- Use a 1 and 1/4 inch curling iron, curl hair in 1 inch sections from mid-lengths to ends. Ensure ends are inside the barrel.
- Spray the new Tresemme Compressed Micro-Mist Hair Spray Hold Level 2: Smooth all over to lock the look into place, achieving style without stiffness.
Get The Look:
- Prep the skin by pressing in 5-6 drops of Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil to brighten and even out skin tone.
- On areas where you need an extra boost of hydration, massage a few drops of Biossance Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer. For an all-over glow, add a few additional drops of the Gel Moisturizer to the decolete, back, and arms.
- Apply a couple of drops of Dior Capture Youth Glow-Boosted Age Delay Illuminating Serum.
- Apply Diorskin Forever Undercover with a wet beauty sponge and press the foundation into the skin to create a flawless canvas.
- Dust the Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder onto the cheeks for a touch of shimmer.
- Use the Dior All-In-Brow 3D on the brows.
- For your eyes, use the Dior 5 Couleurs in #537 Touch Matte, which is the perfect neutral matte palette. Put the lightest color by the brow bone. Put the light camel shade on the lid and the darkest brown shade on teh upper and lower lash lines.
- Intensify the eyes with Dior Eyeliner Waterproof on both lash lines for a smokier effect.
- Add Diorskin Nude Air Luminizer Powder onto the lids for some shimmer.
- Finish the eyes off with two coats of Diorshow Mascara for fuller and bolder lashes.
- Apply a thick coat of Dior Creme De Rose on the lips. Let it sink in. Then, create a nude lip using Rouge Dior Liquid.
- For the nails, use Dior Vernis #108 Muguet to create a clean, natural manicure.
Get The Look:
- Use Marc Anthony True Professional Strictly Curls Curl Enhancing Styling Foam to prep hair and then blow out the hair in a roller set.
- Brush out the curls and set the look with Marc Anthony True Professional Hydrating Coconut Oil & Shea Butter Volume Hairspray to ensure the look lasts all night.
Get The Look:
- Prep and exfoliate your skin using the St. Tropez Tan Enhancing Body Polish.
- Using the St. Tropez Applicator Mitt, sweep a layer of the St. Tropez One Night Only Finishing Gloss onto the shoulders, arms, and decolletage area to give the body a subtle, bronzed sheen that would reflect flawlessly in the flash of the cameras on the carpet.
- Apply an extra layer of the Finishing Gloss to your collarbone and blend down the arms to further highlight your figure and give a more radiant glow.
Get The Look:
- Prep damp hair with Caviar Thick and Full Volume Mousse. Blow out smooth.
- Spritz all hair with Caviar Perfect Iron Spray to protect from the hot tools.
- Use a large curling iron to give the hair a bend at the mid-lengths (as opposed to a full wave or curls).
- Turn head upside down and spray with Caviar Perfect Texture Finishing Spray throughout. Mess up by running fingers through hair.
- Set the look with Caviar Working Hair Spray.
- After creating a side part and sectioning the hair with the Beachwaver Co. Darby Clips, use a combination of the Beachwaver Pro 1″ and the Beachwaver Pro 1.25″. The 1″ was used around the bottom layers and the 1.25″ around the top, each curled away from the face.
- To finish the look, gently brush through the waves with the On Set Pro Brush and tuck the hair behind the ear on one side for that signature old Hollywood glam look.
Get The Look:
- Starting with wet hair, work in the Dove Style+Care Curls Defining Mousse for lasting volume and hold, followed by Dove Style+Care Smooth & Shine Heat Protection Spray to prep and protect the hair.
- Blow dry the hair with a small round brush to create volume before goign in with a medium curling iron to create texture and set the hair.
- Spray the hair with the new Dove Refresh+Care Fresh Coconut Dry Shampoo all over, to absorb any excess oil at the roots while adding body and fullness throughout.
- To begin the chignon, brush the hair back into a low ponytail. Then, wrap the hair into a small bun and secure with bobby pins.
