(Review, Before/After Photos): June Jacobs Papaya Purifying Enzyme Masque

There are masques and there are masques that we’ll continue to stock up on. File June Jacobs’ Papaya Purifying Enzyme Masque under the latter category.

This is a clarifying masque, so it’s good for skin that is acne prone, and also a little lackluster. The creamy white masque (to be technically correct, it’s a bit eggshell colored), tightens the skin but moisturizes it at the same time.

Because of its potent combination of natural fruit enzymes, these ingredients are good enough for your skin–good enough to eat. Yes, one look at the souffle-like texture of the masque will make you want to dig a spoon into it and EAT. But, yeah, don’t!

This is good especially if you have sensitive skin. Because of papaya’s enzymes’ qualities to promote dead skin cell turnover, you can see how effective it was on our skin. In addition to this, it contains mango, borage seed oil, aloe vera, almond oil.

After cleansing your skin, we applied a spatula full of the product onto our hand, as instructed. Then, we left it on for 7-10 minutes and rinsed with water. For $62, this is a cool value, and a real steal because it works. I make a case that you should never be reluctant to splurge on stuff that works.
