One of the positive things that I have discovered about getting older is I have become smarter with my purchases. I have learned to go with quality over quantity. Also, the saying, “you get what you pay for”, holds a lot of weight with me these days. I don’t mind investing in more expensive products if they truly work better and last longer.
I recently was asked to try the HANAair Professional hair dryer and I have to admit I was definitely excited about the proposition. I had often wondered whether if I had a professional blow dryer, would my hair turn out like I had just left a salon.

The Italian designed hair dryer features 2 fan speeds, 3 heat settings, plus a cold shot button that when pushed shoots out cold air. It uses ion technology that works to condition hair and reduce static electricity. The dryer has a strong AC motor and its lined ceramic heater dries your hair up to 60% faster while keeping your hair looking shinier and healthier. It also has a two year warranty and is considered to be the best blow dryer by numerous consumers.

The hair dryer came in a nice black box and I barely could wait to tear it out of the box and see how well it actually worked. I have thick wavy hair that is always a challenge to blow dry straight. The dryer had a sleek black design, that fit great in my hand, and was comfortable to hold and not very heavy. It had simple buttons to operate and I liked the extra feature that offered a cold burst of air that worked to set your hair for the final touch.

It took less time to blow dry my hair. With a normal dryer it took me anywhere from 25-30 minutes to dry and with the Hana, the time was cut down to 15. My hair definitely turned out with a professional look and feel. My long locks definitely looked like I had just walked out of a chic salon.

The only difference was I got the satisfaction of knowing that I did it myself, with help from my new friend, Hana. I definitely highly recommend this dryer and think it would also make a great gift for the holidays.

Posted at 03:31h, 22 DecemberI purchased the hair dryer (the most expensive I’ve ever owned) and after 3 months, the motor went bad (started screeching when powered on) and started spewing black dust all over. I couldn’t believe it only lasted 3 months! They did replace it for me, but only after several e-mails back and forth. Their communication could have been much better. We’ll see if the new one they sent lasts more than 3 months.
I like the power of the dryer and the reduction of frizz (it’s not completely gone, but I think it’s reduced), but the smell never went away and I expected a dryer that cost almost $200 to last longer than 3 months. I had read about the smell in one of the reviews I read before I bought it and thought it was probably just because it was new. That is not the case. It lasted the entire time I used it until I returned it. We’ll see if the new one that arrived this afternoon has the same issue.

Posted at 17:57h, 11 Marchlooks nice, but I prefer the Karmin Salon Pro Professional Hair Dryer which is the best one I’ve used, it dries my hair really fast and keeps it smooth, shiny and with volume. I luv it !! 😀
