The Biao Beauty Rejuvenating Cleanser ($18.50) is said to be a “gentle everyday formula that maintains a healthy moisture balance and dissolves impurities without irritating your skin. Skin is left protected against free radicals, pores detoxified and circulation invigorated.”

Biao claims that it will rinse your skin clean of dirt, cosmetics and pollutants while strengthening its defense system and guarding against signs of environmental stress and premature aging. The Biao Beauty Rejuvenating Cleanser contains EpiCalmin TCM, which is said to boost the body’s natural ability to retain moisture and fight environmental stressors. (TMC is an acronym for traditional Chinese medicine and is the inspiration for three plant extracts: honeysuckle flower, xanthium sibiricum fruit and cyperus rotundus root.)

Other ingredients include: aloe vera for intense hydration and healing; green tea extract for anti-aging and calming effects; avocado oil to nourish and replenish and palma rosa oil to provide a moisture-loss barrier. I used this for a few days as part of my regular cleansing regime. The smell is heavenly, making you feel very pampered and cosseted. And it did a great job of cleaning my skin without stripping it. Love, love, love this one, ladies!  My new fave cleanser — and It’ll be yours too!

The Rejuvenating Night Crème 24.50 is touted as a “lightweight antioxidant-rich overnight crème” that is suitable for “dry, normal and mature skin.” The core of the Rejuvenating Night Crème‘s ingredients is a complex called EpiCalmin TMC. The product also contains rose oil (that’s where the lovely smell comes from) cocoa seed butter, sweet almond and avocado oils.

The company promises that the crème will make skin feel soft, moisturized and comfortable. Per instructions, I applied this at night, to clean skin, and massaged in gently. While I loved the light floral scent, I did find the crème a bit gummy for my taste. But this sticky feeling was gone by morning; the crème had been totally absorbed by my skin and left it feeling soft and supple. Still, I did not care for the initial sensation and would probably select another night crème instead.

According to Biao, the Rejuvenating Mask ($42.50) deep cleans pores, moisturizes and softens skin while detoxifying the complexion in just five short minutes. They advise using it twice weekly to fortify skin with “essential nutrients and antioxidants that fight-back against day-to-day environmental stressors” and they promise “salon facial results.”

Yona trying on the Rejuvenating Mask

The Biao Beauty Rejuvenating Mask contains Moroccan rose oil, which is much admired for its healing properties. It also contains EpiCalmin TCM, their unique formula — one that they claim prevents premature aging while protecting skin against dehydration, oxidative stress and extra-cellular matrix degradation. Other restorative ingredients include: concentrated vitamin E for antioxidant benefits, skin tone improvement, and cellular repair; olive oil for moisture and antioxidant protection; green tea to boost elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines; sunflower seed oil for softening and nourishment and vitamin A for its antioxidant, soothing and protective properties.

I used this twice in a single week. It went on rich and creamy and then was absorbed into my skin; I did not have to scrub and rub to get it off. I do think it left my skin rosy and healthy, but honestly, claiming that it offered salon-quality results was a bit of an exaggeration. Still, I liked the mask and will use it throughout the coming winter.

All Biao products are free of parabens, sulfates, synthetic fragrances, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, phthalates, GMOs and triclosan.
