30 Apr Makeup Review, Swatches: Make Up For Ever Aqua Summer 2013 Collection – Cream, Rouge, Lip, Eyes In Pink, Green, Fuchsia
I am making it a point this summer to add more color… to my face!(?) Gone are the days of muted, safe browns and every neutral color I currently covet — with every in-between shade of champagne you can think of.
No more sheer reds on my lips. I’m going for some bright peach and look-at-me fuchsia! That’s it! I’ve been inspired by Make Up For Ever’s New Aqua Summer 2013 Collection!
Bright, juicy shades of pinks and corals make up the latest Aqua Rouge ($24.00) shades for summer. Five new vibrant shades are introduced this summer: #16 Fuchsia (swatched), #19 Pomegranate, #20 Baby Pink (swatched), #17 Bright Coral and #18 Coral (swatched).

I have to say, this formula is meant to stay on! If you are a fan of long-lasting lip colors, these really are the best on the market right now. It look me two makeup remover wipes to fully take my application off. This highly pigmented liquid lip color has a clear gloss on the other side.
I highly recommend using the gloss, as it will make your lips feel more moisturized. Work fast though! The lip color dries quickly. The high molecular weight polymers and volatile oils lock the color on your lips. Full color impact ahead!
Also for your pout are Aqua Lip ($19.00) pencils. They go perfectly under your Aqua Rouge; I wore #20C Baby Pink (swatched) under #18 Coral (#19C Pomegranate Pink is also available in this collection). Evaporating silicone emollients allow the lip pencil to glide on your lips smoothly, leaving behind full-on pigment with no tugging. The pencils are matte and will help make your lips look more defined.
Bring on the eyes! Three new Aqua Cream ($23.00) colors have been released for this summer season: #52 Pearly Green Lagoon (swatched), #53 Pearly Pastel Green and #54 Pearly Mauve (swatched). Moisture is locked out and no worries of creasing with the evaporating oils and special filmogen polymers.
The shades are rich and deeply pigmented: #54 Pearly Mauve leaves behind a shiny, almost pinky purple color; #52 Pearly Green Lagoon is a different shade of green, less hunter and more, well, lagoon-y; bluish green.
Finish off you eye look by defining your lash line. Aqua Eyes ($19.00) pencils have two new shades: #25L Matte Brown and #52L Pearly Green Lagoon. Microcristallin waxes set on the eyelid and improve pigment adhesion to the skin. If you are feeling the green colors in this collection, try applying the Aqua Cream and Aqua Eye pencil in the same shade for a sultry, summer goddess look!
