(Review): Glo Brilliant Personal Teeth Whitening Device

They say you can’t judge a book by its cover, but I judge SO much about a beauty product by its design and packaging. I need it to be sleek, efficient….just like anything by Apple.

So, when I was invited to learn more about the new Glo Brilliant Personal Teeth Whitening Device, which looks and feels just like a shiny new iPod, I was smitten.

The entire kit comes with everything you need, including lip care, a power adapter and USB cable

The Glo Brilliant Personal Teeth Whitening device is brand new to Sephora and just launched. The idea behind this device is so simple: get professional doctor-like results at home.

The brainchild of world-renowned aesthetic dentist, Jonathan B. Levine, DMD, the device is a culmination of decades worth of work he has professionally performed. Now, it’s all bundled into this blue, white sleek display that may very well put your Home Docking Station to shame.

The elegant lanyard makes this a hands-free and highly efficient and attractive device

There are 12 patents pending on this system, but at its heart, the device accelerates the teeth whitening process. I don’t know about you, but there are a lot of teeth whitener options on the market that give me a tingling sensation. I used the Glo for the first time this week and experienced none, and that’s because of the Whitening Mouthpiece which combines heat and light that is built directly into its closed system.

The hologram on the outer box glows, which is a nice detail

Because it is tight and form fitting, there is also maximum efficiency and minimal discomfort. While the device initially looks as though you’re holding it on your teeth, it’s actually a hands-free device that has pre-timed eight-minute session intervals (you need four eight minute sessions per month to get the best results, according to Dr. Levine).

The device comes with Glo Whitening gels (these are called “G-Vials”)which contain a custom formulation of the viscous whitening gel that professionals typically apply when they perform teeth whitening on you. Because of the delivery system, this gel gives longer contact time on your teeth. It also contains six percent Hydrogen Peroxide and has no alcohol and carabamide peroxide.

The ultimate promise: your teeth will be up to seven shades lighter with the Glo Brilliant Personal Teeth Whitening Device. The kit comes with a sleek, handsome lanyard so you can literally wear it like an iPod around your neck, a dial, vials, mouthpiece and case as well as charging dock and travel bag. The entire kit retails for $275 at Sephora.

After my first use, I really found the entire system painless to use, and indeed –just eight minutes. You can browse a magazine, walk the dog, chop a tomato…whatever you want. It’s highly efficient!

RIPOFF – the GLo system is over-priced, tedious, and it does not work as well as a cheap vial of bleach from any internet vendor.

I followed the directions to a T, wore the mouthpiece the recommended amt of times and I’m VERY disappointed.

I purchased it from HSN for $300!!! The reviews on that site give it about a 2.5. I think they’re being generous.

I can only assume, based on the reviews, that it might not show up again, so that one more suckder doesn’t buy it. Unfortunately, I did not use it right awar, or I would have been able to return it for a full refund.

    Don’t waste your money

After using this product for three treatments,it made me have two huge sores on my mouth in the very front of my gums. I think they may have even been burns. I had to go to my denist and use medication to heal them. I plan on sending this back to HSN and getting my back. Please be careful using this product it can hurt your mouth.

Ok, so here is the deal! I seen one review that stated, it was good, but it was about the same as using the Crest-strips. What I would love to know is, does IT WORK BETTER THAN THE CREST STIPS? Plan and simple question! I use the CREST-STRIPS,and if it does the same job, I can’t see my self walking around with a mouth peice for 30 minutes a day. I put the CREST STRIPS on and go about my business, I’m not tied to a machine!!!!!

So will someone that has bought this GLO-BRILLIANT deal, just be 100% honest in answering this question?
