10 Aug Eat. Pray. Love.: The Fragrance Trilogy from Fresh Cosmetics
Eat, Pray Love. Good advice, No ? A bestselling book, now a movie and also… fragrance. Yes, it seems odd to make a fragrance and movie tie in, but when it’s Fresh doing the scenting, that makes me think it will work .
In conjunction with the upcoming movie release, Lev Glassman the founder/perfumer of Fresh has blended 3 perfumes with the individual names, Eat, Pray and Love.
Each scent is made to evoke the special places visited in the movie.
Eat is inspired by Italy’s decadent desserts. The fragrance is definitely for the locavore at heart, invoking fresh fields…a whiff of dessert for those with the sweet tooth…and a vibrant sensation of Tuscan vineyards.
Top Notes: Italian lemon, basil, bergamot
Middle Notes: plum, red currant, rose
Bottom Notes: caramel, meringue, vanilla
Pray is the homage to the spices and colors of India. This is a very sensual scent and perfect for the woman who has a sense of daring about her. I particularly loved the way the top notes counteracted the potential heaviness of the dry down.
Top Notes: elemi, pink pepper, juniper berry
Middle Notes: incense, peony, rose
Base Notes: patchouli, amber, musk
Love is all about the exotic and fragrant island of Bali. This is the most romantic of them all, and most date-worthy.
Top Notes: bergamot, red currant, mango blossom
Middle Notes: lisylang, Tiare, dewy jasmine
Base Notes: sandalwood, vetyver, velvet amber
