The new interpretation of Miss Dior features a crisp veil of Chypre notes marked by the signature Chypre ingredient, Patchouli. Created by Dior Perfumer-Creator Francois Demachy the new Miss Dior Eau Fraiche features Calabrian Bergamot, vibrant gardenia and luminous patchouli. Miss Dior Eau Fraiche is a light and elegant blend of the original.

The History of Miss Dior:
In 1947 when Christian Dior created his first fragrance, Miss Dior, he sought excellence and an element of surprise. He wanted absolute luxury. A great lover of flowers, he affirmed that, “Perfume is the indispensable complement to the feminine personality, and it is the finishing touch to a dress.” Miss Dior was born a powdery, rich Chypre, the dominant fragrance of the day.
When Christian Dior’s younger sister entered the pearl grey salon of Dior’s studio on Avenue Montaigne, his muse Mitzah Bricard exclaimed “Voila Miss Dior!” “Miss Dior, now there’s a name for my perfume!” the couturier replied. The original bottle was architectural and geometric with a houndstooth check motif as well as the dagger bow that was heir to the refinements of the 18th Century.
Modern Miss Dior:

I’m Ashley from NC! I LOVE perfume, especially Dior. I would absolutely love (& be honored) to win the new Miss Dior Eau Fraiche perfume. I feel there are very few simple things in this world that can make a woman feel beautiful, sexy and empowered. I believe divine smelling perfumes, like Miss Dior Eau Fraiche, are one of those things.
I believe actress/model Jessica Paré would make the absolute ideal new face of Miss Dior! Jessica is currently known to the world as ‘Megan Draper’, the trophy wife of AMC’s Mad Men leading man, ‘Don Draper’ (played by Jon Hamm.) She is an exquisite example of beauty, simplified. Jessica Paré even fluently speaks French, so she would easily fit right in with the Dior family. It is actually her portrayal of an ultra modern, sophisticated woman living in the 1960’s, that made Jessica my choice as the new face of Miss Dior! Even though she’s married to a very handsome powerful man, she exudes her own independence and is never defined by anyone but herself! When interviewed, Jessica admits she shares many things with ‘Mrs. Draper’ aside from her looks. 😉
