(Giveaway) The Hour is Everything: Caudalie Fleur de Vigne Fresh Fragrances

When I attended the launch of Caudalie’s Limited Edition Fresh Fragrances a few weeks ago at The Vinotherapie Spa at the Plaza Hotel, little did I know that the evening would be reminiscent of Proust’s major novel.

In the cool depths of the Plaza’s Spa, we were introduced to a selection of wines by the resident sommelier, a gesture fitting for the vinotherapy roots of the brand. The antioxidant powers of reservatrol have been harnessed by several brands, but Caudalie lives and breathes it. From its remarkably effectivePremier Cru The Eye CreamΒ  (80% more radiant skin and 160% increased in cell life span after 10 days of use) to the three Limited Edition Fragrances we were introduced to at the event, Caudalie is all about harnessing the fine properties of the great grape.

caudalie fleur de vigne fragrance

The three Limited Edition fragrances celebrate the unique time of day: the Fleur De Vigne Fragrance pays homage to the grape blossom which blooms every June. It’s an refreshing fragrance with notes of grapefruit, mandarin and cedar. The suggested time of day for use is the morning.

The Zeste de Vigne is an energizing unisex fragrance with notes of sweet lemon, petit grain and bergamot, and suggested for use at noon.

the des vignes

Finally the The Des Vignes evokes the stillness of dusk, and has notes of white musk, neroli and ginger. It is a mystical fragrance with 10% pure parfum, and the most concentrated of the three, perfect for use in the evening.

The elegant glass spray bottles retail for $38 and will be available in the summer.

Now, about the contest. Funny you asked! Tell us what your ideal time of day is, and how you normally spend it (e.g. if it’s afternoon, do you get lunch at the Italian trattoria or a biscotti; if it’s morning, do you get your freshly-brewed latte?). Be descriptive. The more creative, the more chance you have of winning.

Please submit your entry by July 20th. We will pick one winner and send it to Caudalie, when Mathilde will choose her favorite entry to receive the grand prize: a gift basket filled with $250 worth of Caudalie products. The fragrances are available for purchase at Sephora.com and Caudalie-USA.com.

Remember to leave a comment below to be considered. Good luck ladies!

My favorite time of the day is the morning πŸ™‚ Unfortunately I am on disability so I have the ‘luxury’ of having no place to go. It sucks, I loved my job. But I do appreciate my mornings dearly, just waking up by myself, as the sun hits the window, in a quiet world. Going downstairs, opening windows and withdraw to my meditation pillow for a good steady hour. Rising from my pillow I grind my fresh organic coffee, my small daily splurge, heat and froth milk and set myself down to a wonderful large cup of homemade latte. Looking out at my tiny inner city garden, enjoying watching the little life that finds a home there, I wake up slowly, read my mails and just enjoy my my time before getting to the rest of the day. Many days I wake up sad, but I have learned to just let the sadness be and it always settles. Even if it is not the life I chose, it is wonderful life, precious life, a life full of gifts and beauty. And it is in the mornings that I am the most awake to that realisation!

My favorite time of day is the evening, a time to unwind and read a good book or magazine. I also like to have snacks and pepsi or tea with me!

My favorite time of day is late afternoon after work. I enjoy driving home, listening to an audiobook and maybe stopping off at my favorite restaurant for a early-bird dinner.
