(Giveaway) The Hour is Everything: Caudalie Fleur de Vigne Fresh Fragrances

When I attended the launch of Caudalie’s Limited Edition Fresh Fragrances a few weeks ago at The Vinotherapie Spa at the Plaza Hotel, little did I know that the evening would be reminiscent of Proust’s major novel.

In the cool depths of the Plaza’s Spa, we were introduced to a selection of wines by the resident sommelier, a gesture fitting for the vinotherapy roots of the brand. The antioxidant powers of reservatrol have been harnessed by several brands, but Caudalie lives and breathes it. From its remarkably effectivePremier Cru The Eye Cream  (80% more radiant skin and 160% increased in cell life span after 10 days of use) to the three Limited Edition Fragrances we were introduced to at the event, Caudalie is all about harnessing the fine properties of the great grape.

The three Limited Edition fragrances celebrate the unique time of day: the Fleur De Vigne Fragrance pays homage to the grape blossom which blooms every June. It’s an refreshing fragrance with notes of grapefruit, mandarin and cedar. The suggested time of day for use is the morning.

The Zeste de Vigne is an energizing unisex fragrance with notes of sweet lemon, petit grain and bergamot, and suggested for use at noon.

the des vignes

Finally the The Des Vignes evokes the stillness of dusk, and has notes of white musk, neroli and ginger. It is a mystical fragrance with 10% pure parfum, and the most concentrated of the three, perfect for use in the evening.

The elegant glass spray bottles retail for $38 and will be available in the summer.

Now, about the contest. Funny you asked! Tell us what your ideal time of day is, and how you normally spend it (e.g. if it’s afternoon, do you get lunch at the Italian trattoria or a biscotti; if it’s morning, do you get your freshly-brewed latte?). Be descriptive. The more creative, the more chance you have of winning.

Please submit your entry by July 20th. We will pick one winner and send it to Caudalie, when Mathilde will choose her favorite entry to receive the grand prize: a gift basket filled with $250 worth of Caudalie products. The fragrances are available for purchase at Sephora.com and Caudalie-USA.com.

Remember to leave a comment below to be considered. Good luck ladies!

I prefer mid-day because in the morning I’m in a rush to get to work, and at night, there’s so much to do but at my lunch hour, the time is all mine. Over the years I’ve done so many things… read books, watched Netflix, shopped at the mall, volunteered… one time I played hookie and went and saw a movie.

Lunchtime is a lovely break that makes the day more managable … It’s like taking a vacation every day! These Caudalie sprays sound like mini-vacations in a bottle too and I’d love to win. Please enter me.

My favorite time of day is around 9 pm right after i take a nice long hot shower, put on some of my favorite lotion, and get into a comfortable bed with freshly cleaned sheets. I get to relax without anyone changing the channel on the TV and I can close my door and take a deep breath and not hear any kids. To me it is the greatest time of day!

my ideal time would be around 5am, when everyone’s still asleep. I call it my “white time” to plan for the day / do my homework/ etc. My “alone” time.

Dusk. The day is coming to a close, the heat begins to dissipate..and the magic of night is just around the corner. Everything begins to fade, to change color..a certain smell comes upon you. It’s getting too dark for your sunglasses but still light. There is a hint of what comes next. If I am driving I roll down my window to inhale the smell of night coming. If at home, I step outside and take a minute to relax, preferably with my husband. We hold hands and watch as night rolls in.
