(Giveaway) What Trish McEvoy Fragrance Are You? Blackberry & Vanilla Musk, Black Rose Oud, Snowdrop and Crystal Flowers Review

When we heard our blog was specially chosen by beauty guru Trish McEvoy to spread the word about, “The Power of Makeup,” we were ecstatic. I fell in love with the brand when I first encountered her highly targeted brushes and tools, and an exceptionally well-organized makeup organizer.

I’m glad to get to know the brand a bit better, step by step, in monthly batches. Today, I’d like to introduce you to some of her fragrances that were sent to me, and which occasions you may see fit to wear them.

FOR THE SEXY EFFECT: #9 Blackberry & Vanilla Musk

This is a sexy fragrance, and a good choice for those who want “to set the mood.” Below, it’s shown as a pocket fragrance. There is the original version and a “sexy” version. The original blends sweet blackberries and vanilla with aromas of musk and white rose. The other sexy version has Amazon lilies, patchouli and amber.

FOR PURE GLAMOUR: Black Rose Oud

This is a seriously deep fragrance, and the latest addition to the Trish McEvoy line. It was inspired by pure glamour, and its heart is the prized Black Baccara Rose, precious Oud oils and vibrant florals, spices and sensual woods. The full Eau de Parfum retails for $185.

FOR A GRACEFUL FRAGRANCE: #3 Snowdrop and Crystal Flowers

This is a graceful and lighter scent that blends white narcissus, snowdrop flowers and crystal musk.

FOR A WHIFF OF THE ORIENT #6 Mandarin & Ginger Lily

This  is slightly oriental and fruity to me, and is flirty. I’d call this is a light, tangy fragrance with floral notes.

There are other fragrances in the Trish McEvoy portfolio, including her signature namesake fragrance (which is sensual, with a mixture of musk, almond flowers, blue lotus, Tonka beans and white amber, cashmere musk and Indian sandalwood).

In my earlier teenage years, I did not understand the power of fragrance as well as I do now, and I certainly appreciate a good fragrance (not the cheap, overpowering ones you smell in the elevator) because you can smell how well the blends are together. I think out of all the fragrances in this sampler, the Black Rose Oud is definitely my hands down favorite. It has a lingering depth and is unexpected because of its exotic spices.  Tell us yours to win the entire sampler.

I think the first one, the blackberry and vanilla musk, sounds like it would be my favorite. But I sure would love to try all of them!

Wow! Trish McEvoy fragrances are AMAZING!!! I love #9 and Sexy #9 (the Blackberry and Vanilla one). Some people say that it smells like one of the Philosophy perfumes, but they are WRONG! Trish McEvoy’s blackberry is more complex and lasts 10 times longer on my skin! Love it!!
