6 Best, Easy At-Home DIY Hair Treatments Using Kitchen Ingredients – Deep Conditioner, Mask

Now that Summer is in full swing, you don’t want those days in the sun by the pool ruining your hair! Well, fear not, because we’ve got 6 easy DIY treatments to detox, nourish, and strengthen your hair. Look no further than ingredients you can find right at home. We’ll show you how!

“Heading to the salon or your local beauty supply store is fine and good, but your fridge and pantry can provide a host of delectable ingredients that will nourish and rejuvenate your hair, as well,” explains Wendy Rose Gould beauty expert for hair tutorial and advice site www.Latest-Hairstyles.com. “From mashed bananas to blended carrots to strawberries, fenugreek seeds and beyond, chances are you have many of these ingredients at your immediate disposal. Snack on some, of course, but also put them atop your head as DIY hair treatments that make for glorious, glorious hair.”

DIY Hair Treatment Recipe Instructions:

Carrot Detox

Either finely shred your carrot by hand, or put it in a blender to break it down. Combine with two tablespoons of coconut oil and mix well, then apply to dry hair. Let it set for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse in the sink (to keep carrots out of your bathtub drain). Condition and style per normal. You’ll need: 1 Medium Carrot + 1 TBSP Coconut Oil

Avocado and Almond Detox

Let the mixture set for 20 minutes before applying to allow the ingredients to fuse, then apply to shampooed hair and let set for 10 to 15 minutes before shampooing. You’ll need: 1/4 Cup Almonds + 1/2 Avocado + 2TBSP EVOO

Egg Yolk Mask

Separate your egg yolk from the white and beat the yolk. Slowly add the milk, mixing as you do, then add the honey. Apply the mixture to your hair, starting at the ends and working your way up. Let the mask set for 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water. Hot water can make the egg cook, so stick with cooler water. You’ll need: 1 Egg Yolk + 1/4 Cup Milk + 1TSP Honey
