Golden Globes 2010 Beauty Predictions from the Star Stylists

What will the stars be wearing tonight at the Golden Globes? Here’s what the experts are saying.

Celebrity makeup artist for Sorme Cosmetics, Robert Hensley shares his views on beauty trends we are likely to see on the red carpet, “This Awards Season, bold metallics may replace the more traditional smokey eye, which has become a red carpet staple along with the classic simple eye/bold lip combo. Those starlets opting for a more natural look, allowing their gown or hair to speak for itself, may choose a little more shimmer or iridescent qualities in their shadows and lips.. All of these looks may feature heavier, sculpted brows over dainty, thin brows.”

As for other stars’ hair trends, we have some scoop on Diane Kruger’s hair! Celebrity stylist Richard Marin says, “Diane will show me her FINAL decision on her Golden Globes dress and I will touch up her highlights and we’ll finalize a hairstyle by going over look books from designers and reviewing past styles we have already created for the red carpet. We are both feelings strong about the ‘40s retro look that was happening at the spring 2010 shows.”

Harry Josh, John Frieda International Creative Consultant, will be dressing up the locks of Rose Byrne, who’s nominated for her role on Damages.

Style Expert Amy Gordon, founder of Artfulwears.com, says: “This year’s Golden Globe fashions will be reflective of current trends. Glitz and glam is hot, so expect to see a lot of embellishment. Metallics and fringe are both hot. Also, look for touches of neon. Booties will rule footwear.”
