12 Oct Review: How to Create Big Curls: Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Jumbo and Super Jumbo Hot Roller Set
Sometimes my eyes lie to me. For instance, when I go to the hair salon, my stylist appears to have two hands, but as she juggles a blowdryer, comb, and two jumbo round brushes, not to mention my cloud of misbehaving hair, I know for a fact that she must have upwards of eight. Sadly, my eyes play no such tricks when I try to duplicate the results of her slight of hand at home. She gives me blowouts with loads of volume and giant bouncy curls, whereas my two measly hands deliver only limp, stick-straight flyway hair. Ironically, my eyes are painfully honest about results.
To fake amazing blowdryer prowess, I spent a little time with the Conair Xtreme Instant Heat Jumbo and Super Jumbo Hot Roller Set ($29.99 at conair.com) Eight large and four extra large cushioned hot rollers smooth hair while adding volume – just be sure to roll hair up and away from the scalp when setting the rollers. The set comes with ‘ready’ light that blinks on when the curlers heat up, and setting pins that take a little finessing, but won’t leave a crimp on freshly heated hair. Because of the size of the curlers, they can only create larger curls – no rows of teeny tiny Taylor Swift ringlets. However, if you’re lusting after carefree Gisele waves and enviable body (for your hair, that is) this is the set for you. If I can manage them with my lying eyes and clumsy hands, it’s a pretty safe bet anyone can.

Posted at 00:59h, 31 AugustThese I would use. I like the fact that this set has larger rollers which is not that easy to find. Also the fact that they don’t leave crimp marks on the hair is appealing.
