The hairstyles on the Fall / Winter 2011 runways ran the gamut, but the looks that stood out as the newest and most exciting were 60‘s styles that played with gender norms, from sculpted “bad boy” updos to flirty, feminine beehives. Yes, there were the usual beachy waves, messy buns, braids and ponytails, but the most exciting looks were super slick side-parts that looked modern and clean contrasted by ladylike confections that proved that classics never die.
Boy Hair:
Tight french twists were paired with sculpted pompadours to create faux “boy” looks.

Sculpted Side Parts: These modernist looks used lacquering gels (like Extreme Urushi from Shu Uemura Art of Hair) to create a surface that shines like patent leather.

I have four kids, I’m a single mom, with a full time job. Needles to say, that equates to very little, and much needed attention to my locks. Oh, and way too many failed attempts with Miss Clairol!! Please help me Michael! Love you!

I just got into a new relationship so maybe Michael could help me surprise my guy and family with a new hairstyle-I have family in NYC! Traveling wouldn’t be a problem!
