Whenever a supermodel is willing to divulge her beauty secrets, it’s a sure bet we’ll listen! That’s why when BeautyStat was invited to have breakfast with Christie Brinkley on a cold November morning, we were all ears!

Christie Brinkley had us all green (or should I say “highlighted”) with hair envy as she walked in with beautiful loose waves. But little do most people know that her hair has the help of 16-inch extensions!

Christie joined us and let her hair down… LITERALLY! Her new and affordable line, Hair2Wear, offers synthetic lace front wigs that blend right into the scalp, extensions, clip-on bangs and more for women of all ages!

Christie was inspired to start her hair line after playing the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway. Every night she would don her super-short black wig. She loved the look, but noticed that it was more of a process than a fun fashion accessory.

Christie made this line to help improve women’s lives with different looks that take mere minutes to achieve. Now, although I have plenty of hair of my own, I know a thing or two about hair extensions.

My aunts have been wearing pieces for years to improve their updos and add volume. They were kind enough to test some of Christie’s most popular items, being the faux hair connoisseurs that they are.

The extensions are a fun and easy way to switch up your look any time. The Pony ($39.00) and Full-Sweeping Side Fringe ($24.00) had to be my aunts’ favorites. My auntie Babs always wears her hair up, so the Natural Tone Hair Wrap ($16.00) was a quick favorite.

It’s so comfortable she even sleeps in it! In the photos, she is wearing the wrap in Light Blonde, and the great thing about these hair pieces is that they come in multi-tonal hues, seamlessly blending in with your hair color (whether it be natural or dyed).

She also tried the bangs and loved how styling them was a cinch. They clipped on easily and fit securely. Silicone strips help to protect the hair, so there won’t be any damage. It is also important to blend in some of your own hair within the pieces — and don’t be afraid to use heat styling as well!

My aunt Joanie was crazy about The Pony! This ponytail has a soft wave to it, giving it a natural appearance. The unique wrap-around wire finishes the ponytail with the look of a natural knot — a great touch! And we didn’t just stop at the ponytail look: We also made use of the length to make a faux bob, braid and updo. The possibilities are endless!

The synthetic hair is very soft and weightless. Hair2wear’s special Excelle™ synthetic hair fibers are easier to care for than your own hair, and the hand-blended colors make it the most natural-looking hair around.

Christie took into consideration that real hair has different hues that change ever so slightly when we regularly color it. And also that our hair has layers and varying lengths. So the ponytail doesn’t just sit on your head, it acts like real hair with layers and shine.

I want to try these! As a mom of three boys ages, 1, 3, and 4, I NEVER have time to do my hair! 🙂

Saw your Hair2Wear Ad in a Womens Magazine and always want to try a hair extension. I, unfortunately, do NOT and never have had a nice, thick head of hair. Mine is baby fine, thin and I have never been happy with it. Maybe one of these will work for me, but one that doesn’t look like a GIANT change, so people will actually know you a re wearing an extension or a wig…. the easiness of these appeal to me as well…still thinking…………….
