25 Mar Review, Before/After Photos, Ingredients: Garnier Fructis Hydra Charge, Volume Extend Shampoo, Leave-In Conditioner, Dry Shampoo
As I age, I am more aware of what I eat and how it affects my health, my appearance and my general well-being. The same rule applies on what I use on my hair, face and body.
The words I come up with to describe Garnier Fructis‘ NEW Volume Extend And Hydra Recharge lines are healthy, fresh, natural and refreshing. The packaging of these products are green, and look similar to the vegetable and fruit smoothie I have been drinking every morning.
I started with Garnier Fructis Hydra Recharge. The three products I tried in this line were Hydra Recharge Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner ($3.99 each) and Hydra Recharge Moisture Whip ($5.99).
I was very impressed with the ingredients in these products, containing goji berry, passion fruit and kiwi in the form of superfruit beads — ingredients that were good enough to eat!

Garnier does not promise miracles, but the products were made to replenish dry hair with moisture, and leave hair feeling softer, silkier, clean and refreshed. I loved the smell of the shampoo and conditioner; I loved the the way the beads felt as I washed and conditioned my hair.
They felt so refreshing as they burst opened, treating my hair and making it feel so clean. I also used the leave-in conditioner that had a mousse-like consistency, then styling my hair as usual. My hair did look shinier, healthier; I was impressed with the results.
Next, I tried the Volume Extend Fortifying Shampoo and Conditioner ($3.99) and Instant Bodifier Dry Shampoo (5.99). These products give otherwise flat or fine hair extra fullness as you go through your day.
The Shampoo and Conditioner have papaya and cucumber extracts — they both smell so fresh and healthy. I used this shampoo for several days and definitely noticed extra fullness to my hair. The added volume made my hair feel flirty and fresh.

The Dry Shampoo is made with orange citrus and grape extract and works like a mascara — the invisible fruit fibers surround each strand of hair, working to boost volume. I do not have time to wash my hair every day, so I depend on dry shampoos. Many I have tried in the past smell horrible, but this one smelled fantastic! Using it definitely helped my hair feel clean and added some extra bounce.
This new line of products came out in January and can be found at mass market retailers such as Target and Walmart, drugstores and grocery stores. I think Garnier Fructis hit the nail on the head with these product lines. With more and more people being focused on all things healthy, these products definitely promote a healthier hair experience.
