I have been seeing commercials for L’Oréals new product line: L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare Power with Lea Michele from Glee as their spokeswoman. They have introduced five different shampoo, conditioner and treatments for all different hair types.

It is a very well thought-out, extensive line. It is selling at most drugstores and major retailers (I saw it at Target), and it is very reasonably priced. I was given the opportunity to try the entire product line and I was thoroughly impressed!

We have heard the saying: ‘no two people are alike.’ Well, the same thing applies to hair. Most women have different problems with their hair and need different solutions. L’Oréal, the hair expert — with 100 years of heritage — did research for five years. Tested over 5,000 women and developed eight patents to create a line which is undeniably the future of the hair industry.

It was easy for me to determine the right products for my hair. It is winter and my hair is very dry. The obvious choice for me was L’Oréal Paris Power Moisture. The line consisted of three products: Power Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner (12.6 oz. for $4.99 & 25.4 oz for $7.49) and Power Moisture Rush Mask (8.5 oz. for $6.99).

The products are well-packaged and easy-to-use. The two key ingredients in this line are hyaluronic and arginine-K complex, which provide a rush of moisture. All of the items smell very good.

I used the Power Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner for two days and on the third day, I used the shampoo with the Rush Mask. My hair definitely felt replenished with much needed moisture. I was excited that the results were so quick to rejuvenate my dry hair.

The following week, I had an important event to go to and I wanted to blow-dry my hair straight. I was in luck, because L’Oréal developed Smooth Intense Polishing Shampoo & Conditioner (12.6 oz. for $4.99 & 25.4 oz for $7.49). This line also included Smooth Intense Xtreme Straight Crème (8.5 oz. for $6.99) and Smooth Intense Frizz Taming Serum (3.4 oz. for $6.99).

I liked the smell of all of these products as well, and felt that the extra two products really helped to make my hair frizz-free — and straighter than usual. The Crème and Serum were both leave-in products that worked up to 72-hours. The two main ingredients are oleo-keratin and arginine-K complex. I was impressed with these results as well, and really felt the products had worked as promised.

I did not try all the shampoo, conditioners and treatments in the line, but I am convinced by the two I tried that they all work well to repair/treat your hair. There are three other product groups in this line and I know at different stages in the year, I will be relying on these products to fix/treat my hair.

There is Triple Resist Reinforcing Shampoo & Conditioner (12.6 oz. for $4.99 & 25.4 oz for $7.49). This comes with Triple Resist Ultimate Strength Solution (5.1 oz for $6.99). This works to reduce hair fall-out due to breakage. The main ingredient is concentrated arginine. When all three products are used together it will leave hair more resistant and up to 3X stronger.

Next, there is Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo and Conditioner. There is a combination of arginine-K complex and ceramide. This shampoo and conditioner promise to repair visible signs of damaged hair. These include weakness, roughness, dullness and dehydration.

In conjunction with this shampoo and conditioner, L’Oréal offers Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm (8.5 oz. for $6.99) and Total Repair 5 Multi-Restorative Dry Oil (3.4 oz. for $6.99). The erasing balm, which is a rinse-out formula, will erase one year of damage to the hair’s original smoothness in one use. The dry oil is a leave-in, non greasy oil that will give your hair shine and will reduce flyaways.

Last, but not least, fear not, all of you color-treated hair ladies out there:  has the Color Vibrancy Nourishing Shampoo and Conditioner (12.6 oz. for $4.99 & 25.4 oz for $7.49). The main ingredients are arginine-K complex, anti-oxidants and UV filters.

These ingredients prevent color from fading and will keep color vibrant for eight weeks. There is also a Color Vibrancy Dual Protect Spray (5.1 oz. for $6.99). This is a leave-in spray that helps protect the hair from fade-out, and also protects it from all of the heat styling tools that are used on it daily.

The great thing about this new product line is the website below. If you have any questions on which products to use, this website will answer them. All the details you need are just a click away: www.advancedhaircare.lorealparisusa.com.

In summary, L’Oréal knows hair and really has mastered the art of knowing what kind of solutions and problems woman have — and have created products to solve them. Kudos to them for covering everything and developing a line that leaves no hair issue out. These products are definitely worth a try; I bet your hair will thank you.

The Total Damage line would be perfect for my hair at the moment, especially the Erase balm! My hair has been through quite a bit recently and I just can’t afford to get regular cuts. I’ve been trying my best to maintain my hair and keep it long (after effects of childhood short hair trauma), but it’s just so dull and dry 🙁
Thanks so much for the review! You are so very lucky to have been gifted all five lines!!

I have been meaning to try these out. The power moistire line would suit me bes since I have natural hair and because I have thick curls my hair loses moisture quickly. I am all about keeping my hair well moisturized and soft.

I have used the Xtreme Straight Crème twice, but so far I cannot tell if I like it. My hair is very, very dry and damaged from a bleach catastrophe about 4 months ago and I have been working very hard to get my hair healthy again.
I flat iron my hair often (yes, horrible and not a good idea when trying to repair damage, but my hair is awful without it, so I cannot resist) so I am always on the lookout for products for straightening. My hair was beginning to look better, but I used the Xtreme Straight Crème and Pantene Overnight Miracle (I used that the night before) after the shower. After I blowdryed my hair (which, I rarely do), my hair looked and felt horrible. It was like straw! It was almost like I had just reversed my 4 months of repair! This has happened twice with the same routine.
The reason I am not sure about this product is because it could have been the Pantene or the blowdrying that made my hair so awful. I have been reading tons of amazing reviews on both products, so I don’t want to give up on them yet. I think I will use one on it’s own each time and experiment. It could have very well been the blowdrying because I maybe blowdry my hair once every 5-6 months, if that.
So anyway, I definitely want to give this Loreal Xtreme Straight Crème another go. 🙂
Thank you for your review, I really enjoyed reading about your experience with this product! 🙂
