There were plenty of ponytails and curls rocked on the runways at this fall’s New York Fashion Week shows! The curls were gorgeous, and definitely showstopping! Some of the best products on the market were used for textured hair, to really achieve sleek and bouncy, beautiful curls. Ponytails and buns were also a big hit, too!
Get The Look:
- Use Wella Professionals EIMI Extra Volume Mousse at the roots of hair and then use fingers to pull the product through the remainder of the hair
- Rough blow-dry with Hot Tools Black Gold Iconic Dryer, twisting hair to create waves
- Spray Wella Professionals EIMI Ocean Spritz throughout the hair until damp to create matte texture and blow dry again using Hot Tools Black Gold Iconic Dryer
- Once the hair is dry, use a Hot Tools Curling Iron to curl a few sections of hair and backcomb the remaining sections of hair to build volume and rough texture
- Once dry, spray Wella Professionals EIMI Sugar Lift to add shine and build texture
- Gather and pull hair into a pony at the low back of head and secure with an elastic
- Begin to pull out small sections of hair at the hairline to create volume and rough texture on top of the head
- Next, split the pony in half, taking the top half, twisting it into a figure 8, and pin the hair at the top and side
- Use the Hot Tools XL Flat Iron to tame any unruly pieces
- Twist the remaining half of the pony into a chignon, leaving 1-2 inches of the ends sticking out and pull out pieces of hair for a messy, undone look
- Use Wella Professionals EIMI Stay Essential Hairspray and set the top of the head and hair twist
- Finish the look by spraying both Wella Professionals EIMI Sugar Lift and Ocean Spritz to dial up the combination of shiny and matte texture
Get The Look:
- Create a center part and lightly mist hair with water
- Use a combination of the R+Co Waterfall Moisture + Shine Lotion and the R+Co Motorcycle Flexible Gel, then apply throughout the hair for an even coat of product
- Braid hair loosely to enhance bend and texture
- Tuck behind ears and diffuse
- After it’s dry, mist the hair with the R+Co Neon Lights Dry Oil Spray to add separation and shine
- For the half-up and all-up look, pull hair all the way forward in a simple ponytail at the top of the forehead
- Backbrush tail with a flat brush, and spray with R+Co Outer Space Flexible Hair Spray and fluff
- Taking tail over hand, twist it in a figure 8 shape and let the pieces fall out, securing them with hair pins
- Pull some pieces loose
- Finish with the R+Co Neon Lights Dry Oil Spray
Get The Look:
- Start by washing hair with TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner to create a frizz-free foundation
- Once hair is dry, spray the TRESemme Compressed Micro-Mist Hair Spray Hold Level 1: Texture and brush through
- Curl small sections of hair with the ghd Curve 1 inch Classic Curl Iron to create a loose, natural looking curl pattern throughout
- Using a smoothing brush, tease the roots at the crown of the head for added volume and create a clean center part
- Gather hair in a low pony and secure with a KITSCH elastic
- Grab two pieces of hair from the outside of the pony and tie them into a knot around the base, pinning the strands to the base of the scalp
- Continue doing this two to three more times under the first knot, working your way down
- Secure loose strands with bobby pins and backbrush through the length of the pony for a messy finish
- Complete the look with TRESemme Compressed Micro-Mist Hold Level 4: Extend Hair Spray to keep the look in place without creating stiffness
Get The Look:
- Start by washing hair with TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner to create a frizz-free foundation
- Create a deep side part and apply a very generous amount of TRES Two Mega Firm Control Gel for a glossy finish and pull hair back into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck
- Divide the ponytail in half
- Take one section and twist it, wrapping it around the hair tie and fasten with some French pins
- Repeat on the remaining section to create a low bun
- Apply TRESemme Keratin Smooth Shine Serum for an ultra-shiny finish and use a fine tooth comb to smooth out any bumps
- Spray with TRESemme TRES Two Extra Hold Hair SPray or the TRESemme Compressed Micro-Mist Hair Spray Hold Level: 4 Extend to secure the look
