I agree with many other editors that the scent of Alterna‘s products is addicting and delightful.
From their Caviar CC Cream (two bottles down) to their Caviar Anti-Aging SEASILK Oil Gel (using daily), and their Caviar Perfect Blowout Crème that both smooths and shines my hair to now a virtually translucent dry shampoo called Bamboo Style Cleanse Extend Translucent Dry Shampoo ($22.00). I just love the line!
Just look at their spokeswoman, Katie Holmes, if you don’t believe me?! Last week, Katie Holmes, Alterna Haircare co-owner, shopped at a NYC Sephora and picked up the NEW Bamboo Scented Cleanse Extend Dry Shampoo.
In addition to the new dry shampoos being incredible, Alterna will donate 15% of proceeds of each bottle purchased (exclusive to Sephora and Sephora.com) for the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
This dry shampoo leaves no powdery residue like some others I have tried, and my hair just looked refreshed after spraying it on my roots. I used my fingertips to tousle my curls and my hair looked just as good as the day before.
Dry shampoos are meant to extend the life of your blow-outs or re-energize your hair in-between washings. I have used others in the past, yet could not get over that white, chalky residue on my scalp and swore them off until this product came along.

Bamboo extracts immediately boost hair’s intrinsic strength giving it the flexibility and sustainability it had once before. Blue Yucca Root also acts as a naturally fixative ingredient that is rich in vitamins and nourishes the hair while providing the ultimate in natural style.
This formula helps to absorb oil and adds volume to just-washed and second-day hair. It also has Color Hold Technology to protect your color. Sheer Blossom includes calming extracts; botanical cleansers are what I truly love smelling while using Alterna‘s products. To me, it’s their signature scent and I find it to be a soothing scent.

I have also used it on dry hair as well to tame my flyaways and frizz. It has the signature Caviar fragrance of green tea and bergamot that has me addicted to the brand, as I find the scents so delightfully refreshing.
Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging Perfect Blowout Crème ($24.00) was created to give your hair radiant shine with every blow-dry. It also tames frizz and adds shine and moisture to your hair.
It provides protection against heat-damaging styling tools, and leaves your hair looking shiny and smooth. I use it on my towel-dried hair to tame my frizz and keep my waves in place.

Posted at 03:20h, 16 OctoberFirst time hearing about this line but I do use dry shampoos but not very often and which I still have to wash my hair everyday because it gets so oily at the roots that dry shampoo doesn’t cut it anymore. I would love to see if maybe this line could change my opinion on dry shampoos, great review!!

Posted at 00:23h, 18 OctoberI have used Matrix Biolage Fiberstrong bamboo shampoos, conditioners, leave in treatments, and dry shampoos. At first I liked these products, but the more I used them the more my scalp became oily with some breakouts. There was not much of a scent to their products. I have yet to try Alterna products. I do like how the bamboo makes your hair silky soft without weighing it down. And to know that there is an awesome scent also would make me want to try the Alterna line.

Posted at 03:37h, 18 OctoberI have never tired this Lu e but I go a day or two without washing my hair because it dries out the ends but I could use a no wash shampoo In-between washes to keep my roots looking fresh, would love to try this!

Posted at 00:28h, 19 OctoberI have heard of this brand but never in any detail I can’t wash my hair every day, I can’t even go into the bathroom alone lol my kids follow well at least one so getting a quick shower in is as good as it gets most nights so I use dry shampoo a lot and also spend about 20 minutes figuring out how to brush out all the white residue the dry shampoos I have used leaves , I was going to get my long boring mess of hair cut and dyed but due to my son knocking his tooth out on the carpet and having to spend all wendsday night in the er I am back to white residue land.. so hearing about the lack of residue makes me want this hearing about how it smells makes me want it even more and I haven’t tried any products with bamboo in them so being a beauty addict I would love to sample this and get my fix in this case my no white crude, beautiful smelling bamboo beautiful hair xoxo
