At a recent Dove Hair cocktail party, I had the opportunity to meet with celebrity hairstylist Mark Townsend.  The event was a lot of fun and I even had my hair and makeup done. I have to admit I looked a lot better when I left, thanks to Elle Kinney from Livian Salon and Johanna Martinez, the make up artist.

Another highlight of the event was meeting Vanessa Van Edwards, a behavioral investigator that will be the Spokesperson for Dove Hair this fall.  Her job is to educate women on how they can use their nonverbal body language to be more confident, professional, and powerful.  One of the more important tips she wanted to stress was, “Be careful when you flip your hair!  Woman who rely on hair tricks not only come across as unprofessional, but can also send the wrong signal and indicate flirtation.”

I was excited to receive a goody bag with the Oxygen moisture line from the Dove team.  I have reviewed these items in the past and found that they still worked great.

I tried the Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner ($4.99 each), Oxygen Moisture Leave in Foam ($5.99) and Oxygen Moisture Root lift Spray ($5.99). This line was made for women with fine hair.  My hair is not fine, but I decided to give the products a try. The products all worked well – they lathered great, smelled terrific and lived up to their claims.  My hair definitely looked bouncier and had more body after using the whole product line.  The line is inexpensively priced and I definitely recommend that people struggling with thinner fine hair try this line of products.
