Kiss your roots goodbye in 2012. The makers of the leading permanent hair color, Revlon ColorSilk, introduce Root Erase™ by ColorSilk™ – an affordable, mess-free and hassle-free solution  to maintaining fresh, beautiful hair color without unwanted roots.

This permanent, ammonia-free formula features a first of its kind applicator that eliminates roots with ease.  The unique ColorSilk Precision Control™ sponge provides precise application ensuring a drip-free experience every time. In just 10 minutes, the coloring process is complete.

While developing this new Root Erase product, Revlon gained consumer insight from hundreds of women who lamented the time and expense required for salon touch-ups, as well as the messiness of at-home root products. For them, a root touch-up product had to be easy, accurate and mistake-proof.

Answering their call, Revlon developed a unique oval-shaped applicator for Root Erase, which offers superior control as color glides onto narrow or wide areas precisely where you want it and without tugging at hair. No clumsy bowls or cumbersome brushes are required.

New Root Erase by ColorSilk delivers 100% gray coverage and is perfect for use in-between regular colorings, ensuring your hair color is always at its best. Available in a full breadth of shades to blend seamlessly with any hair color, each of the 12 hues has been carefully created to  match any at-home and salon brand.

This product is HORRIBLE. Do not waste your money. I bought the light golden brown that professes to blend with any “light golden brown”. It turned my light golden brown hair AUBURN RED with big stripes around my head dividing this horrible color with what my hair already is. Never again will I try to save a few bucks by not buying Clairols root touch up. Horrible Horrible Horrible!!!

A big mistake! I bought the light golden brown that was supposed to match to my normal hair color shade of Clairol 114A. I wound up with dark bands everywhere I used the Revlon color. The good news is repeated washing helped fade it but it took a while and I was terribly self conscious for a few weeks, trying to hide the bands as best I could. I went back to using the 114A every 3 or 4 weeks and using Roux Tween Time (a daily use touch up stick) if I needed it in between colorings. Roux isn’t perfect but it does a pretty good job for small areas and at least it is gone the next morning after I shampoo.

My sister told me about this product and when I tried it I LOVE it! I used to use nice and easy, good product but messy. The root eraser blends with my hair color perfectly (John Frieda light golden brown) It is a no mess and very easy way to extend your hair coloring. I found it to blend wonderfully and have recieved many complements from people thinking I had just colored my hair.

I have recommended this product to everyone I know that touches up there roots.
