If you use a hair relaxer, you’ll want to know about big new dog in town.

Soft Sheen Carson introduces Optimum Advanced Keratin Whipped Crème Relaxer System, its biggest innovation for  relaxers in decades. Optimum Advanced  is nothing like the products of old that smell like rotten eggs and burns your scalp.

The people at Soft Sheen took great pride in creating a whipped product that  is gentle enough on the hair but still able to relax it. The smell is practically odorless and looks like a mousse rather than a cream. It is being called the first relaxer ever created with superior respect for the hair (it makes you wonder about the others).

The Optimum Advanced uses  a breakthrough patented formula that contains:

  • Smart Lye -25% less  Sodium Hydroxide –Creates straight  hair that is  stronger;
  • Pro keratin complex – a patented complex that infuses Keratin into the hair;
  • Oil infusion -a blend of Argan  and Coconut oils.

Nothing on the market now can compete with this formula. Now , we all know that  no relaxer is complete with out a team of care products  for it. Optimum Advanced took the time to create a system with a special pro keratin complex as well. The system includes Keratin Whipped Crème  Relaxer, Ceramide gel scalp protectant, Keratin and Crème PH recovery conditioner, Keratin Recovery Neutralizing Shampoo, Keratin Sealing leave –in Conditioner. There are styling products as well.

  • High Gloss Shining Gloss –A  smooth gloss that creates a barrier against humidity and softens the hair;

  • Flexible Holding Spray: a fast drying brushable mist;

These products will only be available in salons beginning this spring. Stylist Johnny Wright says, “The products will be available for only stylists to use now.” They should be used a normal relaxer every 6-8 weeks. Clients can purchase styling products from Optimum Advanced at salons. Check with your local stylist on when this will be available.

    I used this and it wants you to condition before neutralizing which causes chemical burns. I don’t think I will be using it again. I never burned with Affirm Fiberguard.
