Have you ever been offended by a nail polish before? Like, ever? Well, some are. One of our fave nail polish brands, butter London, has JUST discontinued sales of their latest release, Cut Up Collection, which contains 3 glittery topcoats to rev up your manicure. It’s so new we haven’t even tried it yet!

Of course, the brand is known for its “cheeky” nail lacquer names — Tart With A Heart (pale pink with glitter), The Full Monty (full-on molten gold) and Shag Nail (a warm orange-burgundy metallic) — but, if you have recently purchased this topcoat trio, you can expect a full refund.

Read below to see a public statement released by President & CEO of butter London, Leslie Freytag:

We regret any misunderstanding caused by the name of one of the colours in our new Cut Up Collection. To anyone offended, we sincerely apologize – it was not our intention to be hurtful.

To address the issue, today we have discontinued sales of this product. For anyone who has purchased it, we will gladly offer a refund. Just give us a ring at 206.525.0847 (M-F, 9am to 4pm PT) or email us at orders@butterlondon.com.

At butter LONDON, we have always taken great pride in the cheeky, irreverent tone of our brand – but we agree with you that our latest product took that tone a bit too far.

Very Respectfully,
Leslie Freytag
President & CEO
butter LONDON

This is incredible! When you want to spoil a mark do everything! There are worse names, and they’re funny! Forgive the offended lol
