Our Luncheon with Dior & Lucky Magazine (plus a Dior Giveaway)

Upon entering the Conde Nast building, I felt I had entered a real life version of “The Devil Wears Prada.”  Every woman that passed by me was beautifully polished and exquisitely dressed.  It was a great break from my day job to be going to the exclusive Dior/Lucky Luncheon to explore the new Dior.com (new e-commerce site), play with existing and upcoming products and get a consultation with a Dior make-up artist.  As I entered the huge glass doors, I felt as though I was entering a customized heaven.

Some of the products we got to play with

The presentation began with a brief introduction to Dior and moved swiftly into each category of make-up.  There were a few products that stole my heart, especially the One Essential: The Ultimate Skin Boosting Serum.  One revitalizes the epidermis, detoxifies the skin, boosts the effectiveness of one’s normal skincare regime and a slew of other things.  I do not know about you but my skin needed a vitamin cocktail and this sounds perfect!

In new news, as of March 2011, the lovely Natalie Portman will be the new face of Miss Dior Cherie.  The commercials were directed by Sofia Coppola and the rationale for using Natalie Portman is to change the look of the “young and fun” Miss Dior Cherie into something sensual and sexy.  Dior never falls short, watching the commercial I could not help but picture myself roaming “les rues de Paris” smelling of blood orange essence, essence of neroli and patchouli (the notes in Miss Dior Cherie).

The presentation came to a close with a showing of Dior.com, just a baby – launched November 8, 2010.  An e-commerce site. Dior.com is highly interactive and answers any possible questions you may have, and it’s a perfect shopping resource for the holidays.

When the presentation came to a close, we were whisked away by Dior make-up artists.  It was extremely weird for me to have my make-up done by someone else since I am a make-up artist, but Aaliyah was a doll and she gave me a muted eye and a bold lip.

As a nod to the debut of Dior.com, we are giving away a set of Miss Dior Cherie, DiorShow mascara and a Rouge lipstick to one lucky winner, all wrapped in a beautiful Dior box. Simply share this post with your friends and family and give it a LIKE on Facebook, and leave a comment below to win.

I have been a fan of “Beauty Stat” for a few months now, and I find everything you express to all of us, AWESOME! I have never been lucky enough to experience the joy of winning, although…Dior is a fantastic Company and ofcourse when you go to the Mall and see everything Dior has to offer it is almost impossible for me to afford the item I tried on a “fixed income”. But, I have tried numerous products on when I am in Macy’s, Nordstrom, etc. and trust me if I could just save a “few pennies” out of my Social Security Check, Dior is something I would love to try. Dior has been around a long time. Right there should tell you something about how “fantastic” your products are to so many consumers. I am sure some of my friends have tried or use Dior and I will pass this along to them. I am just not the lucky one! So, I do hope you will read this and consider me for the chance to really try Dior and not just sample Dior products.

    ~Cheers~
