Bridal Beauty Trends, 2015, 2016: New York Magazine Annual Weddings Event Review

A lot of preparation went into my wedding last June and all of that planning paid off because I was absolutely thrilled with the results.  We got married in St. Thomas and had a big party when we came home to celebrate with our closest family and friends. For brides, a wedding can cause a bit of stress running around meeting with different vendors. New York Magazine hosted the Annual New York Weddings Event on April 2nd at the Metropolitan Pavillion here in NYC. Vendors were brought together so prospective brides could get helpful advice all in one location. This event helped me tremendously in the planning of my own wedding.

This is the perfect event to meet vendors who can assist you in the planning of your own wedding. Vendors can provide you with the tools you need to find cakes, invitations, photography, venue, flowers, jewelry, dresses, music and more. It really is a great event to get ideas on customizing a wedding that you and your guests will cherish.

Trend Review: 2014 Wedding Salon Event – How To Plan The Perfect Wedding & Honeymoon

I like to pick a few vendors that I think are innovative, different and offer valuable services.  The top 3 vendors that stuck out to me at this year’s event were:

Sweet Whistle:  The company is described as “Artfully Paired”, providing you with personalized wedding favors and hotel welcome boxes that celebrate all things artisan.  I was so impressed with this company and their original boxes. If you are looking for unforgettable boxes for your wedding party or for out of town guests for your destination wedding, look no further. My only regret was that I discovered this service too late to use at my own wedding.  https://www.sweetwhistle.com/about/

Glamour Closet: This is the place to find affordable designer gowns at outlet prices.  All dresses are marked down 25%-75% and stores are located in NY, LA, San Francisco and Chicago.  Each year, a portion of their profits go to raising awareness and funding the mission to find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.  I am a firm believer in finding a great deal on a wedding gown because you only wear the dress once. Rather than have it end up in a box at the back of your closet, you can save money by going to Glamour Closet. Use those savings for a glorious honeymoon! https://glamourcloset.com/closet/index.asp

Two Of A Kind New York Event Rentals: They had such a beautifully decorated booth that it beckoned me over – I had to find out what they were all about. The company provides signature decor and furniture rentals for your event.  A wide range of items including tabletop, signs, marquee lights, backdrops and more are all available for rent.  They are very reasonably priced and provide lots of information on their website to help you get started choosing wedding décor. This part of wedding planning can cause a lot of stress, I remember firsthand, and Two Of A Kind is a perfect solution to help you along. https://www.twoofakindnyc.com

To me, these three vendors displayed something different and useful but there was so much more to see at the event.  I can’t stress enough how helpful it is to go.  You can knock out most of the planning of your wedding in one fun filled night! Recently or soon to be engaged, I suggest you mark your calendars for next year as this is the event of the season and should not be missed. See you next year!
