01 Jun Review: CoverGirl LipPerfection Lipstick Challenge
If there’s one gripe I hear constantly from beauty junkies, it’s that their lipstick makes their pucker way too dry. I’m not even talking mildly dry …I’m talking cracked and siphoned off all the “juice.”
There have been lipsticks and lipstains, markers of the matte and glossy varieties. Many pass the test, but many leave us feeling short of the Rapture. CoverGirl has given us (and you) a lipstick challenge. Their new LipPerfection set of lipsticks promises to transform your lips within 7 days, using their unique silk moisturizing complex. The formula promises to sustain moisture levels.

The set of 7 lipsticks arrived at my door last week, encased like Cartier jewels in a shiny leather keepsake box with a magnetic closure. The shades range from smoky browns, lilac/mauves to pinks and roses. The challenge is to use one lipstick each day, for seven days, and report back.
I’ve got to say, I love this kind of challenge. It’s fun and scientific, at the same time. It’s a beauty focus group of sorts, and I feel like a girly girl to be part of it, and also a little geeky to see if that experiment really works. The best possible outcome is, of course, that the LipPerfection really transforms your pucker. I’m on the road quite a bit over the next two weeks, and it’s nice to see if the lipsticks really hold their end of the bargain.

The worst possible outcome is that the lipsticks do nothing…but I’m erring on the side of victory here.

Posted at 22:42h, 01 JuneI currently own spellbound & divine, gorgeous summer colors. No they are not drying to the lips & I wear mine with a primer & liner base so they have good staying power. They are awesome & I plan on purchasing more shades!

Posted at 03:40h, 07 JuneI have not tried LipPerfection lipstick by Cover Girl yet. It sounds great. I have tried others that claim to moisturise and they either are too sheer, like a tinted lipbalm or they are so soft and goopy its like wearing a heavy lipgloss. I like to see how this turns out, if you give them a great review, I just may try them. I go through lip balms like crazy, so it would be nice to have my lipstice help do the work. Thanx.
