03 Jan Estee Lauder Spring 2011 Collection Review & Swatches: Wild Violet
Ladies, now is the time we take sneak peaks at what’s to come this spring in the world of beauty and cosmetics. Estee Lauder’s 2011 Spring Collection:Wild Violet is full of clean yet electric colors.
Available in January, this collection was created by Tom Pecheux, Estee Lauder’s Creative Makeup Director. “In this intensely vivacious collection, lips delight in shades of electric orange, brazen cherry and violet plum, eyes are smoldering in muted neutrals with wisps of purple for maximum depth and attention while nails are rich and smokey in a modern charcoal. “
As seen in the photo above, I started out applying the Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara on the left eye. I’m a mascara junkie and it’s not uncommon to find three (or more) different brands in my makeup bag at any given time. This will be added to the collection. My lashes were left thick and long without the use of fake lashes. A+ in my book.
Cherry Lip Gelee
Coral Lip Gelee
In the photos above, I am wearing the Electric Cherry Lip Geelee in the first picture, and the Coral Lip Gelee in the second. The shade and scent is lovely however I wish there was a little more staying power.
I rarely wear lip colors of coral and peach however I was pleasantly surprised by the Wild Coral Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick. It wasn’t as “peachy” as I expected. It left a nice spring shade that lasted for hours.
This Pure Color Nail Lacquer, Storm, is a charcoal grey. It’s a lighter shade than those dark nail trends we saw at the end of 2010.

Posted at 01:43h, 10 JanuaryMia you know I’m not a crazy makeup buff, usually all I do is black eyeliner and clear gloss. However, I am loving this violet trend…it’s beautiful and I think would be a nice addition of some color for me. Just may have to give this line a try!

Posted at 22:09h, 20 JanuaryWhen I was young I “sneaked” and used my mothers “off limits” make-up she tried to hide from me in this big overflowing “make-up basket”. She always tried to hide it from me and ofcourse with my detective work I found the Basket.I think my Mother worked just to buy make-up! Then as I got older my next grown-up make-up was Clinique. Now, that I am extremely old I use Estee Lauder make-up for years! I love everything in this make-up line. I understand through Clinque that Estee Lauder is part of Clinque. The new colors are absolutely beautiful, but how come when the Cosmetician puts the colors and products on me it looks great. But when I do it, it just doesn’t look the same as it did when I tried to apply the products. I just keep on trying and love all make-up but my pocket book doesn’t! I would sure love to try any make-up and I am sure I would practice, practice, practice to get it to look like the pictures do! HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!
