(Giveaway) Robert Verdi’s Spring Summer 2012 Fashion Week Survival Guide

Even if you’re not running around in heels around the city like Carrie Bradshaw, you’re a fashionista in  your own right, and there’s no one better than Robert Verdi to recommend you how you can easily take care of yourself — no matter where you are. Here are Robert’s top Fashion Week Spring Summer 2012 must haves.

Maybelline New York / @Maybelline

The brand predicts top trends for Fall 2011 that include berry and plum shades for the lips, smokey, dusty eye looks with metallics and beautiful, porcelain skin. We personally love the Falsies Flare mascara and also toast the brand’s 40th Anniversary of Great Lash Mascara.

Remington new Ultimate Stylist / @RemRedChair

This new trendy stylist puts multiple style choices right at your fingertips with the exclusive curl slides  — this means you can slide so easily from straight to curly or wavy with ease. Plus, it’s only $32.99.

Sheets Brand Energy Strips / @TakeaSheet

Move over, Red Bull! There’s a new energy vehicle in town, and it doesn’t involve Starbucks or eating chocolate covered espresso beans. These are energy strips that dissolve on your tongue in seconds and give you just the boost you need from show to show. A pack of 10 strips is only $5.95. There’s zero calories, and absolutely no sugar.

Band Aid by Cynthia Rowley/ @Cynthia_Rowley

It’s hard to imagine a more glamorous Band-Aid, but the designer has joined forces with the “glambulance” to bring you a sexier version of the plain old staple. Who says bruises can’t be sexy?

Hanes Silk Reflections / @haneshosiery

Your legs will love these no run — yup, you heard right — no run legwear. The new Silk Reflections Ultra Sheer Tights and Thigh Highs are absolutely gorgeous draping for your legs and you can just enjoy your days without fearing the rip effect. $10 for the Ultra Sheer, and $12 for the Blackout tights.

Jewelista / @Jewelistas

Think of it as Shoedazzle for your jewelry. This brand new online shopping destination is where fashion meets jewelry: 15 jewelry designers from around the world showcase their best online, and the prices are so fashionably affordable.

The Fresh Diet / @FreshDiet

What I absolutely love about this program is that it’s fresh food that’s delivered to your door — daily. So, basically, it’s like having a personal chef do his magic just for you. Now you can customize your meals like your wardrobe.

Robin’s Jeans/ @RobinsJeans

Started in 2005 by Robin Chretian, formerly Head Designer of Hudson Jeans, this line boasts a signature bright red pair called the Marilyn and has a pair of unmistakeable gold wings embroidered at the back. All pairs are designed, produced and manufactured in downtown L.A. The Marilyn retails for $189.

Sebago Artisan Collection / @Sebago

These delightful Artisan shoes, handsewn and developed in the factory by an artisan, will add such a delightful facelift to your routine. The brand has partnered with a young designer, Kimmie Smith, of Kitten Lounge, to bring you durable yet fashionable shoes at a highly affordable price. This is a shoe no fashionista can be without! $95 – $150.

Acuvue Moist/ #1DayatFW

I’ve been wearing contact lenses since I was a teen, and honestly Acuvue is where it’s at. Not there’s anything non sexy about glasses (heck, a pair of glasses can be incredibly provocative) but lenses make my life so much easier! Plus, it’s always easier to wear shades when you’re wearing lenses.

As a token of appreciation to our readers and to celebrate Fashion Week, we are giving away a bag filled with Maybelline cosmetics to one lucky winner. Simply leave a comment below to tell us what aspect of Fashion Week really rocks your boat. A winner will be picked by Sept. 30th. Good luck, beauties!

I adore fashion week. Growing up in Nashville, I remember the 5 year fashion trickle down of Runway\LA & NYC\Local Mall. I would just salivate as the models and designers rewrote the book every season. I watched Fashion TV and House of Style religiously. As fashion tv became more popular and people like Mr. Verdi become a household name and online shopping come into vogue, I rejoiced to see the fashion trickle become instant gratification. Now, I look to see the new, accessible trends to rework my basics and the backstage magic to freshen my hair and makeup to instantly update my look. As a fabric designer, I love seeing the season forecast – it just gets me inspired to create myself!

I love interacting with the action on FB and Twitter, since I’m home with two kids all day!
