My hair is very long, thick and it’s hard to maintain in the summer…I use conditioner daily, sometimes leave it in for a period of time too. Do the dishes, throw in a load of laundry etc. then rinse! Also, if you can..try to air dry vs. blow dry. Let it be NATURAL if you can…sooo much healthier. One last tip…the old cucumber on your eyes trick works every time for puffy, partied out, over worked EYES. Put a slice on each eye, pour some wine and RELAX…it’s all good.

Ok…ONE more…drink A LOT OF WATER. It really does make a skin care difference and since it’s summer, add mint 🙂 CHEERS!

My Summer Beauty tips from head to toe!
First, exfoliate with a sugar scrub. Once out of the shower, put on latex gloves and apply a self tanner,(stay away from tanning beds!) the gloves will prevent orange palms! Mix with your favorite moisturizer to ensure silky skin and also banishes the opportunity to streak. Whitening toothpaste is a quick and inexpensive way to nix over bronzing. Apply a light sunscreen to your face, one with a tint will help give your face some color so you don’t have that caked on feeling in the summer heat. Spray a leave in conditioner in your hair, scrunch and let it dry naturally for beachy waves. This is also a good break from heat styling for your hair. Bright nail colors are also amazing for summer, they look great with your sandals and help brighten your mood even on rainy days!=)

I use make up for ever hd powder and primer to keep my skin looking fabulous all the time! And urban decay eye shadow primer saves my life! Prep is the best way to keep skin at its finest in the Miami summer heat! For my hair I use all redken products to reduce frizz and keep my waves in check! I love redken smooth down before I blow out my hair. Works wonders! Obsessive compulsive cosmetics lip tars to keep my lips perfect for long lasting color and great texture!

To keep my thick curly hair from looking like a cotton ball I use a deep conditioner once a week. I also use conditioner to shave my legs. It leaves them feeling much smoother than any shaving cream ever will.

to help with my frizzies here in the Southern humidity, I use this stuff called Biosilk Silk Therapy for Hair/Skin. It makes it glossy & smooth & has the sweetest fragrance!

I keep conditioner on my hair constantly during the summer months, even a nice coat on damp hair at bedtime… helps w/frizzies in the mornings!
