(Giveaway, Review & Swatches): China Glaze Crackle & American Apparel Nail Lacquers

Lets be serious, we all love chocolate, but who needs the extra carbs with spring right around the corner? And what we do need is a fresh new look from fingers to toes. Just like a little black dress is a necessity, so is nail accessorizing. And we don’t only mean that in the ring/accessories department.

A new form of art is etched nails. China Glaze has come out with a new line called Crackle; a layering process that gives each nail its own identity. How does this work?

1. A base nail lacquer is applied to nails and left to completely dry.

2. Apply a coat of Crackle Glaze and let your nails dry for 3-5 minutes.

3. To secure the design, seal with a top coat.

Once the Crackle Glaze is applied to the first layer of base nail polish, you can watch magic before your eyes. The polish begins to shatter almost instantly, but I highly recommend wait the full five minutes to achieve the desired look. This is magic at its finest…and nail lacquer like you’ve never seen before. We like to think of it as a Jackson Pollock painting for nails.

Feminine blush tones really set the mood for spring. One coat is all you need; it smoothes effortlessly coating the whole nail with one coat. This makes it perfect for a quick at home mani/medi before a date.

To celebrate spring and the holy act of accessorizing your nails, we are giving away FIVE American Apparel nail lacquers to only lucky winner, in several romantic shades.

I love glitter french manicures! I usually use a subtle sheer shade and them paint glitter just at the tips for a fun & different nail look. My nails are my favorite accessory 🙂

I accessorize my nails with glitter topcoats, half-moon manicures (like the Ruffian manicures!), and I never shy away from even the brightest of shades. I wear long naturals, which are accessories in themselves, and they are always beautiful.

I find I tend to paint my nails with a colour that matches my mood the closest.

Hi. I like my nails short and filed. I like painting them with bright colors like neon green, orange, violet etc. And also nude shades which give the appearance of not trying too hard! Sometimes I accessorize them with glittery nail paints!
