01 May Makeup Review, Swatches: Bobbi Brown Relaunches Sheer Lip Color Lipsticks Spring/Summer 2013
I am beyond thrilled this spring! Bobbi Brown has relaunched her Sheer Lip Color ($24.00) range. Back when I was at the counter, I always championed this formula: it was easy-to-wear, the shades were amazing and it lasted forever. And then the inevitable happened: it was discontinued. My heart sank. No Bare Stain, no Pinkberry Stain. I was so sad.
Well, this spring we can all rejoice! The Sheer Lip Color range has been revamped and reshaped. I was happy that the texture is the same: it’s a semi-matte, but has a nice slip on the lip. Not too dry, but it mimics the look and texture of lips. So, it looks oh-so-natural — just a little more polished, which has been what Bobbi is all about from the beginning.
Ballet Pink
Some added ingredients to make your lips more kissable include shea butter, murumuru butter and apricot kernel oil all give you the sexiest, most natural lips ever.
Fourteen shades to tickle your fancy. From the most neutral to the brightest of brights. The lipstick on my lips is Ballet Pink. If you are familiar with Bobbi‘s old Sheer Lip Colors, it would be closest to Bare Stain. You can’t go wrong with this color.
Passion Fruit
Also pictured on my hand and lips is Passion Fruit. I would say this would be closest to the old Pinkberry Stain. Something for everyone. They can be worn with or without lip liner, depending on how much time you want to spend on your lip color application.

Posted at 04:32h, 04 MayWith my complexion I just don’t look right in to dark or rich lip colors (or I haven’t found one yet) these are gorgeous and doesn’t hurt that there perfect for my tone, I love them both I would rock either I do feel a little more partial to Passion Fruit, pinned and absolutely would adore a sample never had a chance to try this brand how sad is that?
