em Michelle Phan Cosmetics introduces two mini Life Palettes inspired by the magic of the winter months — perfect for gifting this holiday season.

Winter Life: Ice Bunny Edition and Holiday Life: New Year’s Countdown Edition mini palettes each include 6 eyeshadows, 1 blush, and 2 lip colors in a compact that features refillable, magnetic pans.

They are perfect for traveling or just tossing into your handbag. All you need to create the looks desired are within the palette!

The 2013 Holiday Collection is available now, online at www.emcosmetics.com and in the em michelle phan flagship store at 223 Mulberry Street once opened in December. The holiday collection will be available up until January 1st, so get them while you can!

I have stopped by the store several times and it’s coming along, getting ready for all of us fans to shop! It will certainly be my makeup destination, as everyone knows what a fan I am of  Michelle‘s already.

makeup review swatches em michelle phan cosmetics holiday 2013 winter life ice bunny edition palette how to get a contoured face bright eyed winter lookI took the contour page from my beloved Kevyn Aucoin book, Face Forward, and used Michelle‘s Chiaoscuro Contour and Highlighter Stick ($25.00 each; available in 4 shades) in Light to create more of a jawline, cheekbone and overall festive look for my Winter Life Ice Bunny Edition look!

Just this past Halloween, she inspired me to do my Day of the Dead look and today, I actually used her Chiaoscuro Contour and Highlighter Stick. I both contoured and highlighted my face to which two different people asked me if I had lost weight! The power of contouring is now going to be something I would like to master.

Although I have a BFA in sculpture, I am not an MUA, so I love her tutorials as they translate well for me — like how an artist uses a canvas, this makeup junkie uses her face as one, too!

Winter Life: Ice Bunny Edition ($29.00)

Inspired by the love of winter frost affairs, icicle kisses and bundling up to play in the snow, this mini palette features a beautiful mix of icy blues and grays and a kiss of soft pinks. Create a casual beauty look for a girls’ day out on the ice rink or kick it up a notch for a night of tender kisses under a star-covered sky with the person who keeps you warm.

Ice Bunny includes 6 eyeshadows, 1 blush, and 2 lip colors in a compact that features refillable, magnetic pans. Watch how to get the look HERE!

I interpreted the Winter Life Ice Bunny Edition look in my own way to better suit my personal style, and I absolutely loved the color payoff and the practicality of these compacts. All you need is within the compact; you don’t need to carry around separate items. I find this very appealing, don’t you?

Which look will you be creating this holiday season? Are you a cool snow bunny or warm New Year’s Eve party kind of gal?

I am loving these!! I’d be a cool snow bunny based on my skin color and the colors but there both gorgeous palettes! I have been obsessing on contouring for months I even wrote it on your site a few months back asking about it I am really into it right now so I love love Nicole’s entire look she does a beautiful job and her reviews are always flawless! I love the colors they are beautiful I love the description and I could definitely use this and look pretty while sharing “tender kisses under a star-covered sky with the person who keeps you warm’. The colors are gorgeous! The contour stick makes me swoon, the shadows swoon the lips swoon Defiantly loving this line!

I’m a warm new years girl but without the red lip of course, just not me but you look absolutely gorgeous in both looks Nicole. The makeup line looks fun and easy to carry at the moment I’ll wait to see how the products change because I believe that they all do in packaging and quality that’s why I don’t usually buy something when it comes out right away! Weird haha?! Great review as always Nicole, thank you!!!

I’ve seen a lot of Michelle Phan’s em palettes, but the New Year’s Eve one has to be one of my favorites so far. I love how pigmented the colors look and how they capture all the colors of the holiday season (to me anyway lol). I think the palette will allow for a lot of versatility with color combinations and different skin complexions, and I love the shimmery gold!
