Shiseido Artistic Director Dick Page’s philosophy: “Makeup should be fun!” And I couldn’t agree with him more! The Limited Edition Eye Color Bar ($50.00) brings to life Page’s philosophy that a little bit of color never hurt anyone.

Like making a cocktail, the 9 uniquely beautiful shades — created especially for this holiday season — are encouraged to be mixed, blended and layered.

Shiseido IBUKI Skincare, Eyebrow Styling Compact, Lacquer, Perfect Rouge, Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio, Sheer And Perfect Foundation

The palette includes 7 distinct colors and 2 transformative shades with polarized pearls that allow you to create customized colors and textures through layering.

The durable paper palette contains an adequate mirror that snaps tightly with its magnetic closure. The design on the front of the palette gives way to a list of endless possibilities when it comes to mixing these colors. The shades include: Champagne, Noisette, Ménthe, Parfait Armour, Liquorice, Cassis, Curaçao, Café and Soda.

For my eye look, I couldn’t help but be drawn to the deep liqueur blue of Curaçao, and decided to use Noisette as my base. I then added Curaçao to my outer corners, mixed in with Parfait Armour and Liquorice. That cranberry shade also called my name, so I add Cassis to my lower lash line. I don’t usually reach for these colors, but they applied lightly and not too heavy.

The end result reminded me of when a rainbow Italian ice melts, leaving you with this deep blueberry and red type color. I loved it and can’t wait to try another eye look with Ménthe, that creamy mint shade.

Which colors do you like the most? What kind of eye look would you create?

I absolutely love the Eye Color Bar colors! They look so rich and creamy! There are so many creative eye looks that can be made with these colors! The Parfait Armour, Cassis, and Curacao would be my favs. I love the eye look you created here Theresa, it is beautiful! If I were to use the Menthe, I would use the Champagne as the base with the Licuorice and Noisette blended at the base of my outer eyelid and Menthe blended above that. I would use the Noisette on my lower lash line with Menthe blended slightly below the Noisette. That is one of the many looks I would create.
