The Smashbox Wondervision 2013 Holiday Color Collection screams holiday fun! Beautiful multifaceted shades await for you to create a dizzying array of holiday looks.
I was lucky enough to try the Eye Set ($32.00) in Cosmic (also available in Sparks and Flash) — a compact of 6 beautiful eyeshadow shades: Sapphire (a deep blue shimmer), Sandstone (a matte ivory), Silver (a gray shimmer) Aqua (blue-green shimmer), Smoke (a deep matte gray) and Luster (a taupe shimmer).
These shadows apply beautifully without skipping or dragging on your eyelid. I am in love with Silver, which shows up on my lids as a beautiful gray shimmer without being too cold.
Also included in the set is a Limitless Waterproof Eyeliner in Onyx — a rich black that applies smoothly and wears without smudging or transferring. The pigment is rich and intense.
To finish your eye looks is the Full Exposure Mascara in Jet Black. The brush is fat, so it took me a minute to get used to it. Despite its size, it is easy-to-apply and leaves lashes full and long without being stiff or flaky.
Another cool feature are the application cards, which show you how to create 6 different holiday looks. They are called: Wondervision Hues, Color Diffusion, Drop Shadow Look, Ombre Colore, and Nuance.
I loved experimenting with this eyeshadow palette. The formula applies beautifully and blends seamlessly to create a lot of different looks.
Oh, how I love The Wondervision Lip Gloss Set ($24.00). Offering lip colors at every turn, mix shimmer and crème finishes together. The lipglosses can also be layered for a myriad of shiny looks.
The 5 vibrant shades include: Ruby (a crème red), Pout (a creamy baby pink), Luster (a sheer gloss with golden pearls), Radiant (a metallic golden rose) and Tease (a sheer raspberry).
The never-feels-sticky formula is applied with a soft doe-foot applicator. The color lasts longer than a typical lipgloss, which is a major plus for all those holiday parties we’ll be attending.
