Stila keeps this metallic trend train rolling with the brand’s New Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadows ($32.00 each). This one-of-a-kind, buildable, high-metallic cream eyeshadow leaves lids with a striking foil finish.

Available in 12 colors, each eyeshadow comes equipped with its own mixing tray to unleash your inner makeup artist! Each shadow also includes a small Stay All Day Liquid Eye Primer to make sure your metallic eyes stay put all day long.

While I was backstage at the Alice + Olivia SS14 show for NYFW, I was able to chat up Sarah Lucero, Celebrity Makeup Artist and Global Executive Director of Creative Artistry of Stila Cosmetics, and the lovely Amy of Linda Gaunt Communications. Both encourage users of the eyeshadows to just have fun: Use your fingers to apply and build color, and clean up any harsh edges with a Q-Tip.

From Left to Right: Kitten, Metallic Cobalt, Metallic Merlot, Metallic Laurel, Comex Gold, Vintage Black Gold, Comex Platinum and Metallic Emerald

The texture of these cream eyeshadows is a bit grainy with an unusual feel, unlike any cream shadow you’ve ever tried. The design embossed on the shadows reminds me of crinkled foil; I couldn’t believe the amount of pigment that one swipe provided (and how quickly it dried). There is also a nice amount of glitter-like shimmer, adding to that glistening, wet-eye look.

To Use: Drop some of the Stay All Day Liquid Eye Primer on the mixing tray and combine with the shadow of your choice. Together, you’ll have both amazing metallic color and a primer for your lids.

Or, apply the primer directly to your eyelids and then pat on your foil color — this last technique will provide more opaque color and intensity.

Kitten

I swatched Comex Gold (a brownish copper sheen), Metallic Emerald (emerald green sheen),  Vintage Black Gold (light black with gold/pearly sheen), Comex Platinum (chrome silver sheen), Metallic Laurel (melon green sheen), Kitten (nude pink sheen), Metallic Merlot (deep wine sheen) and Metallic Cobalt (dark denim blue sheen).

While your eyes are all shiny and bright, have your complexion do the same with the Stila CC Color Correcting Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 20 ($44.00) available in shades Fair (swatched), Light, Tone, Medium, Warm and Tan.

Fair was the right shade for me, but upon application the CC cream came out green! It isn’t called color-correcting for nothing! Bursting with revitalizing skincare benefits of vitamins and minerals, this green-based formula with Photonic Crystal Technology and a transparent polymer reduces the appearance of hyperpigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles all while brightening the skin.

The creamy texture of the Stila Color Balm Lipsticks provide hydration and great color payoff all while volumizing lips! Available in 18 shades, see PHOTOS/SWATCHES —> HERE!

As you blend in the CC cream, it adjusts to your skin color beautifully. The Fair shade wasn’t too dark or light for me, and evened out my skintone instantly. Once I applied it, I let it sit for only a few minutes, then went back in to determine which areas needed concealer — it really helps add less makeup!

My skin felt instantly hydrated and lasted throughout the day (thanks to the Hydra-Extend Technology comprised of sugar molecules), and, since it’s oil-free, I know it won’t irritate my acne-prone skin.

It has medium, buildable coverage with a matte to satin finish. I found that the finish was more on the satin side, not too dewy or matte — the perfect Stila complexion achieved, and also the face look for the Alice + Olivia SS14 show!

Now in a stick form, the CC Color Correcting Stick With SPF 20 ($38.00) is available in 8 shades (Fair, Light, Tone, Medium, Rich Medium, Warm, Dark and Tan). The green color-correcting core corrects redness and is barely seen once swiped on your face.

HPP (Highlighter Performing Pigments) Technology provides rich color payoff with long-lasting staying power. The good-for-your-skin formula contains Dermaxel Peptide Technology to help skin barrier functions and smooth fine lines and wrinkles.

Antioxidant-rich Gamma Oryzanol provides photo-aging protection properties, which have been show to help intercept ultraviolet rays at the skin’s surface and hinder their transmission to help prevent damage to the skin.

I love how easy application is with the CC cream in stick form — I swipe on the outside corners of my nose, out to my cheeks, a bit on my chin and my complexion is instantly evened.

I swatched the Light shade, which suited me perfectly with some yellow undertones. This CC cream stick goes on a lot sheerer and has a more primer-like feel to it on the skin.

Stila Stay All Day Vinyl Lip Gloss ($24.00) provides lips with a shiny finish that lasts and lasts. A bold, lacquered lip is achieved without any drying aftermath. Nourishing ingredients like seaweed extract and green coffee oil keep lips supple and moisturized.

I swatched Fuchsia Vinyl, Scarlet Vinyl, Merlot Vinyl, Hot Pink Vinyl and Nude Vinyl — wearing Scarlet Vinyl on a flea market excursion that involved drinking coffee and smacking my lips together when bargaining.

Just one swipe gives off intensely pigmented color and shine. I usually don’t get excited about long-wearing lip products (as I hate when they peel and crack throughout the day), but these really held up!

Scarlet Vinyl lasted through one solid meal, but, while the color does eventually fade, it doesn’t leave you with an awkward peeling starting at the center of your lip. Although it does feel a bit heavy on lips with its thick formula, I don’t mind feeling a glossy lip — I think it helps with the color not fading or peeling.

Stila comes out with these on-trend eyeliner shades that would make even the most reserved brown eyeliner wearer break the mold.

These color shades also go very quickly, so snatch them up even if you are slightly interested. I missed out on Periwinkle and Turquoise last season, but I finally got to try one with this Fall 2013’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Cobalt! And what a gorgeous, rich blue it is!

I first applied a thin line of black to have the cobalt-blue pop! My eyes appeared brighter, and the color didn’t overpower my eye look at all. I just simply looked bright-eyed. You have to try these colored liners even if you’re not a big fan of color.

Metallic Emerald and Kitten peak my interest but I would try any of them who wouldn’t?! But i’m really loving the review on the CC color correcting concealer and the CC cream both sound really cool turning green sounded scary at first but then wow and I love the cobalt-blue the color is extremely pretty and I love the idea that it made her eyes pop, I have a obsession with anything that can make my eyes appeared brighter that always peaks my interest and I am still on the hunt for a great fall lip color so I would defiantly want to try Merlot Vinyl to see if it’s my match.. I love this collection love! Beautystat you have been killing me recently with all these amazing reviews and products!! Thank you for another amazing review! and about 7 new things to add to my list to Santa aka i need to increase the $ in my savings 😀 Xoxo
