Makeup Revolution: Hissyfit Launches new Clockpots

A few weeks ago, I attended the launch of a revolutionary new makeup collection from the Australian makeup brand, Hissyfit (which sounds like a word you don’t really want to use unless your makeup is all over the place)!

Reggie Wells, a most passionate Creative Director and celebrity makeup artist (yes, his clients have included the one and only Oprah), created a fool-proof makeup tool that even dummies can use. Called the Clockpot, the supersized compact comes in various makeup flavors, for the Face (foundation), Eye (shadows), and Cheek (blush).

Each Clockpot is designed to take the guesswork out of finding the right colors for your skintone because you’ll ONLY purchase and use the Clockpot that’s right for you.

“The Clockpot will change the way people apply makeup,” says Reggie Wells. The Face Clockpot houses foundation and powders for each skin tone; the Eye Clockpot includes a primer and four eye shadow trios; the Cheek Clockpot has four blush duos to allow you to contour your face and transform your look.

The Face Clockpot comes in 6 different varieties, and each retails for $65 each. The 12:00 o’clock area houses the foundation, the 3:00 o’clock houses the powder, the 6:00 o’clock area houses the all over powder, and the 9:00 o’clock area houses the “glow.”

So, it’s very simple…all you have to do is follow the Clockpot clockwise, to get the perfect look, and then just start layering.

The Eye Clockpots ($60 each) are arranged in four shades, A,B, C, D (the higher the letter, the darker the shades). As you can see from the swatches above, the pigments are fairly light — you’ll have to do a lot of layering on the eyes if you want these colors to stand out, but keep in mind that no primer was used for these swatches.

The Cheek Clockpot also comes in four shades, like the Eye compacts ($60 each).

All the new Clockpots retail at Hissyfit.com and have interchangeable trays so you can purchase the one perfect for you. We think that this is truly customization at its best.

i just checked out their website. i appreciate how they instruct on foundation application. they’re educating the consumer and not just pushing their products.

This looks like a revolutionary idea, where can I find it in stores?
