Recently during New York Fashion Week, we were introduced to what we considered a life savior — the Urban Decay Pizza Truck, a neat collaboration with Eddie’s Pizza.

So from pizza at Fashion Week to this, Urban Decay has always remained an edgy brand with some glitter. I remember wearing their Liquid Liner in Roach many years ago. Here are some new products we found and loved:

Available in four shades is their best-selling product in a new easy to squeeze tube, the Eyeshadow Primer Potion. I chose the color “Original” as it dries invisibly while the other three shades Eden, Sin and Greed can be worn as shadows or highlighters. It’s creamy texture makes it easy to apply and it glides right over your eyelids. The new tube was fashioned so you can have more control on how much product gets released. The first time I used it, I squeezed too much out. A little goes a long way with this product.

Next I applied the Stardust Eyeshadow in Retrograde which is a jeweled tone amethyst color. The Stardust line which includes 9 different shades has 40% more glitter than their other sparkly shadows. It would have to be lightly applied if worn for a day look as the sparkles really reflect the light. At night, I went over my eyelids several times to really make the pigment pop and was complimented several times on my makeup by my friends. This color could have both a transparent and opaque look depending on how heavy handed you are during application.

The Supercurl Curling Mascara does just what it says: curls your eyelashes in a big way! The wand is curved making for as easy application and my lashes were lengthened instantly. I waited in between coats to prevent smudging and the overall look was dramatic. This product adds volume and length.

Lastly, right before my night on the town, I sprayed my face twice with All Nighter Long Lasting Makeup Setting Spray. I was used to the feeling of the initial spray from using a water spray during the summer but know it does feel a bit tingly when it’s first applied. There’s also a scent to it but not overpowering. It locked my makeup in place and when I came home five hours later, I can say I looked the same…although my lipstick had worn off a bit. Next time I will spray more evenly and see if that makes a difference.

The Eyeshadow Primer Potion is $19, Stardust Eyeshadows are $20, Supercurl Mascara is $20 and the All Nighter is $29.  All products are available for purchase on www.urbandecay.com among other sites such as www.sephora.com.
