(Review & Swatches): Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Soleil Makeup for Summer 2011

Turquoise skies, golden sunshine, warm sun tanned skin…no, I’m not talking about my most recent vacation, (although I wish I was).  I’m talking about the new shimmer Bronze Goddess line from Estee Lauder.

The “Island Oasis” palette is perfect for a beach get away, or to wear all summer.  The combinations are endless.  Wear the just the turquoise swept across your entire eye for a trendy runway look, add the graphite shimmer to it for total smoky drama, or go with the bronze, gold, and silver all around the eye. Another great piece in the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess line is the shadow stick duo in  Gold Bronze.  The colors glide on like silk and stay on like eyeliner, so they’re especially convenient for the woman on the go.

Here, I’m wearing it as a soft daytime look with the blue swept across my lids, silver shimmer highlighting my brow bone, gold Shadowstick under my eyes, and the darkest shade, shimmery graphite used to line my upper lid along the lash line.

In this photo, I’ve turned it into a more dramatic, evening look.

This is a soft daytime look from the same palette.  I started with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess shadowstick duo in Gold Bronze.  I swept the gold across the entire lid, then added the peachy bronze shadow to the crease and outer corners.  I then lined my top and bottom lid with the bronze side of the shadowstick and finished the look by highlighting my brow bone with the pale silver.

To take this look from day into evening, I put on Estee Lauder Extravagant Berry.  This lipstick glided on so smoothly and lasted for hours!  It smells delicious too.

Hot makeup tip:  to make your eye shadow last longer, start with a shadow primer, add pressed powder, then sweep on your shadows.  I used to apply my eye shadow directly on to my skin after applying tinted moisturizer and wondered why my makeup ran all day…

The collection is on sale now, at Estee Lauder.com
