Dose of Colors was launched in 2013 by Anna Petrosian! She is the founder, creator, beauty, and brains behind the makeup line. The line is cruelty-free and offers vegan options. I was excited to test out some of the products from the line since I had heard so many amazing things about Dose of Colors. Today I’ll be sharing with you some must-have items that you’ve got to add to your makeup collection!

Dose of Colors Marvelous Mauves Eyeshadow Palette | $32

This cool toned eyeshadow palette features 5 ultra pigmented matte mauve shades with a smooth buttery feel. They are cruelty free, talc free, and paraben free. Here’s a look at some of the shades you get in this palette, from left to right.

Fluffy (milky pale pink)
Rosy (light rosy pink)
Wishy Washy (dusty mauve)
Spaced Out (muted berry mauve)
Wine Stain (blackberry)

As you can see, this palette comes with a little mini dual-ended brush. One side is good for applying color to the lids and even blending it out. The other side is more pointed which is great for precise crease work, inner corner application, or smudging on the lower lash line. I really enjoy the formula of these matte eyeshadows. They are smooth, buttery, and pigmented. There is a little kick up when you place a brush in the pan but I don’t mind. They apply and blend beautifully on the eyes. Here are some swatches.

One of the things I love most about the shade selection in the palette is that you can create a perfect gradient effect. Each of the shades blend into each other with ease. You can choose to use the lighter shades for an every day look, or blend in some of the deeper wine shades for a more smokey effect. If you’re into plum, purple, and mauve shades, I think this palette will be a go-to for you!

Dose of Colors Matte Liquid Lipstick | $18

These matte liquid lipsticks are long wearing, highly pigmented, and ultra comfortable. They apply as a creamy liquid but after a few minutes, they dry to a matte finish. The unique formula feels soft and weightless on the lips and is a favorite among personal and pro users! They are vegan, cruelty free, gluten free, and paraben free.

The shades that I have pictured are Stone (dusty pink mauve) and Bare With Me (peachy pink nude). Here are some swatches of the shades!

Both of these shades are great everyday staples for your makeup collection. The formula goes on smooth and never patchy. The tubes are very cute as well. The applicator in particular has a little groove on it that picks up the perfect amount of product and lays it on the lips with ease. It’s very easy to get a clean, crisp line around the edges of your lips too. Here’s a shot of the applicator.

The formula to these liquid lipsticks is perfect. Often times these type of products can be very drying on the lips, but this one is not. It does dry down to a matte finish and will not budge, smudge, or transfer. You can definitely wear these for 12 hours without needing to touch up! They last through eating, drinking, etc. I always like to moisturize my lips well before application and never have to worry about them causing to look dehydrated. I’m intrigued to try some of the darker and brighter shades!
