I must say, when I first received the newest Bobbi Brown Brightening Nudes Collection, I was excited to see the brochure. Each season, Bobbi finds either precious stones, fabrics, or colors to inspire her color collections; rose quartz, pink pashminas, etc. This season is no exception — it looks like pink sea crystals was the inspiration of choice. I couldn’t wait to see what was in store! This collection has four items: Sparkle Eyeshadow, Brightening Finishing Powder, Brightening Lip Gloss and Crystal Glitter Lip Gloss.
The first product I tried was the Sparkle Eyeshadow. I must admit I was skeptical, since she had tried to do glitter in the past, and it wasn’t the best product I ever tried. Well, she knocked this one out of the park. I had the Silver Sparkle Shadow, and I LOVE THIS! As you apply, it looks like your lids are wet and shiny, as if you just came out from the ocean and the sun hits your face — perfectly gleaming. I might have to go back to the store and get the other three shades, which are Mica — a deeper grey shine; Ballet — pink shine and Sunlight — gold shine. I am so happy she added these to the line. There has been a void since she discontinued the cream shades from the line years ago. These are even better. THANK YOU, BOBBI!
Next up, the Brightening Finishing Powder. Six shades that blend together to give skin a luminous finish. The powder contains mulberry, grape scutelleria and gentian root extracts to nourish skin. I do like this powder overall. Just be careful not to apply too much, otherwise it can tend to look ashy. I also love the silver compact; I don’t mind taking this out at the dinner table!

Last but not least, lips. New shades of Brightening Lip Gloss come in 8 shades, I sampled Lilac Pearl, Pink Opal, and Pink Lilac. What can I say, I love Bobbi’s lip glosses. I don’t know her secret, but each shade does in fact give light to the face. And paired with the shadows and the powder, you too can look like an angel. I am also happy she changed the tip of the gloss and made them larger. I am forever reapplying and am grateful for the larger packaging — definitely a better bang for your buck! And lest we forget the Crystal Glitter Lip Gloss. I had this on, and my boyfriend commented how nice it looked. Girlfriend tested, boyfriend approved for the soft look!
