Co-Founders of Vapour Organic Beauty Eric Sakas (former president of Kevyn Aucoin Beauty company) and Krysia Boinis, along with MUA to natural cosmetics expert Karim Orange, were on hand to present the new launch from Vapour‘s Spring/Summer 2012 Collection. What started as a thirty-two product line in 2009 has grown into a USDA certified plant in Taos, New Mexico which produces one-hundred and ten products in their current line.

They were pioneers back in 2009 with a more eco-friendly, organic cosmetic line but were not fully embraced by the beauty community at first. Initially, organic cosmetics to some cosmetic buffs come off as non-pigmented products with weak color payoff. It wasn’t until Allure awarded them the Best of Beauty in 2010 with their breakthrough product Aura Multi-Use Blush ($28.00) when they started to become more recognized and also…taken more seriously as a brand.

Vapour’s pop art bright Siren Lipsticks ($22.00 each) represent a roller coaster ride filled with crimsons and tangerines (hottest color for spring!) inspired by Andy Warhol’s early flower paintings. The shade Au Pair is a velvet berry that is a perfect look for morning or night; Coquette, an amped-up fuchsia, or Tempest which is a feisty coral with brazen depth. They all apply so easily and have a delightful scent that I am glad I was able to sample all three.

Mesmerize Eye Colors ($18.00 each) come in electric shades such as Obsess which is a golden green; Provoke, a sparkling cool pink that brightens the eyes and Seduce, a smoky, rich brown with violet and blue undertones. Note these products are 100% natural and chemical-free with 70% certified organic ingredients and 30% natural mineral pigments and vitamins.

Also new from Vapour are the Vernissage Nail Lacquers ($12.00 each) and the Replenish 100% Organic Nail and Cuticle Oil ($12.00). The nail lacquers are available in four new shades and offer super-glossy, long-lasting and chip resistant color. I sampled all four and I loved the tonality of all of them as they are rich colors with depth. They are also free of Toluene, DBP and Formaldehyde. They are also gluten-free, paraben-free, nano particle-free and cruelty-free making them safe for everyone, including children. Captive is a rich deep red shade; Chill, a soft fawn-taupe; Eternal, a chic lavender, gray-pink with a kiss of shimmer and Ether, a radiant sapphire blue with a touch of shimmer.

Their 100% organic nail and cuticle oil is comprised of USDA certified oils and botanicals including, jojoba seed oil, reishi mushrooms and pomegranate seed oil to name a few. To apply, you simply need a drop and massage into both the cuticles and nail beds twice daily or as often as needed. Especially during the drier months, more application might be suggested.

From their natural minerals to their recyclable and renewing packaging materials, Vapour Organic Beauty remains “green” while still allowing their pigments to POP! They are the next generation of mineral cosmetics.

Hello! Have been wanting to try the Vapour colour range for the longest time, but cannot decide on the colours. So good that they’re natural and organic and yet is not limited in colours 🙂

Love the pinks! Is the coquette the pinkiest one?

I think the nail and cuticle oil will come in handy for my nails 🙂

    Thanks for the useful review.
