Review: All about Clarisonic: New Opal Sonic Infusion System with Dry Cap, New Mia Colors

I feel as though every self-respecting skincare junkie in America owns a Clarisonic. Am I wrong? Just when I think the brand is so ahead of its time by launching portable and effective devices like the Mia, they decide to up the ante.

The latest launch from the brand is the new Opal Sonic Infusion System with Dry Cap — just for your under eye area. The kit comes with a system as well as a serum, and the patented sonic micro-massage is designed so you can get the serum beneath the skin surface.

This total kit with wristlet retails for $245 at Sephora

The Opal is chic and palm-sized. It is ergonomically shaped and quite beautiful to look at — like a piece that should belong in the Museum of Modern Art. All you need to do is charge the Opal, dispense the serum provided (or also the under eye serum of your choice), and infuse the skin by moving the device in a circular motion around the bone of the under eye area. This set (serum and Opal) retails for $185 online or at Sephora.

And in case you were wondering about the sleek, almost sand-dune like Mia brushes (I can’t live without mine), there are some new colors about town. Now you can not only indulge in painting your bathroom a pretty Clarisonic garnet, you can also indulge in the new Sapphire and Poppy shades. If you’re lucky enough of a gal to have many bathrooms in your apartment or home, why not outfit one in each? A girl can never have too many brushes in her life.
