(Review & Giveaway) Bare Escentuals’ bareMinerals Naturally Luminous Skincare Line

(Review & Giveaway) Bare Escentuals’ bareMinerals Naturally Luminous Skincare Line

Many of you are undoubtedly fans of Leslie Blodgett and her famous Bare Escentuals mineral makeup line. In fact, it was the first mineral makeup line I had heard about, and the first one I had tried.

Now, the maven has launched her first skincare line from her bareMinerals line called Naturally Luminous. The pioneering fact to note here: there are minerals in this skincare line, and they are formulated to energize the skin cells in a totally different way because of a “complex blend” designed to nourish the living organisms.

The products promise: faster cell renewal and pore size reduction. With a name like “Naturally Luminous,” they also promise an increased glow. The proprietary complex is the RareMinerals Active Soil complex.

Let’s start with the items we were sent to review and how they measure up:

bare minerals deep cleansing foam

bareMinerals Deep Cleansing Foam ($20): Well, I had a love / hate relationship with this product because it promises to foam and it didn’t. The instructions say to work a small pearl-sized amount onto the palm of your hands, and what resulted was a lovely thick lotion-like cleanser, perfect for those with sensitive skins. Foaming aside, I really love this cleanser because it leaves the skin really clean without drying it.

bare minerals naturally luminous trio

Naturally Luminous Skin Renewing Trio ($26): This is a 30-day supply of cleanser, moisturizer and eye treatment. The Purifying Facial cleanser is a gel cleanser that again, does not foam, but leaves your skin hydrated. The smell is quite heavenly, with pineapple, lychee and guava fruit enzymes. The cleanser also contains Avocado oil that is rich in vitamins and gives skin excellent moisture, and pomegranate extracts that restores a balanced moisture level on the skin.

The Purely Nourishing Moisturizer is definitely one of my favorites in this trio. It’s hydrating and effective at the same time, while giving your skin cells antioxidants that calm the skin (rooibos, honeysuckle, green tea, chamomile, coffee, licorice and vitamins). And the Eye Cream really and truly does work to make the undereye area smoother and firmer with marine peptides and a marine eye complex.

The Naturally Luminous line also contains a Blemish Therapy treatment with sulfur and White Willow Bark, natural clay and farnesol. There’s also a Pure Transformation Night Treatment and an Extra Firming Neck Cream.

We are giving away the 30-day Naturally Luminous Skin Trio to a lucky winner. Leave a comment below to let us know what facial moisturizer you’re currently using.  Winner will be chosen by April 21st.  US only please.

I have not tried this new line! I have never tried mineral makeup because I like a dewy finish with my foundation. I know that it does work on people I know! I would love to try the skin line though! Thanks

Right now I’m using Cerave AM and PM. I would love to try these new products though, because I am a big fan of Bare Escentuals mineral makeup and have yet to try anything from their skincare line!

I haven’t tried any of the mineral makeups and such. I have been wanting to especially for my wedding. I’ve seen commercials for it and think it makes your skin look flawless 🙂 The moisturizer I’m currently using is Olay.
